It is so not expensive. What is it, like $3 for the little bottle? And I think you may have ruined your lighter, dippy.

Your playing with something very dangerous, why the fuck would you put charcoal fluid in a lighter, your risking it going up in flames in your hand. Get any normal lighter fluid or gas, man your risking it.

Other then the charcoal thing, my best guess is either your flint is gone or the wick is spent.
Make sure it sparks when you turn it. And look at the wick. If it is totally burnt, then the lighters cashed.

If it's an official zippo, send it back to zippo and they will repair it. You can buy other brand lighter fluid as well, just make sure it's for lighters not for barbeques. That said, you might aswell use zippo's own fuel because it's better and not that much more expensive, and it won't fuck up your lighter

Actually, you really should use the zippo brand. Why not? It costs a bit, but it works the best and a can of it last a very long time. I wouldn't use charcoal stuff, that stuff is meant to burn for a little while, and then go out, now tht the carcoal has lit. Also, how are you filling it?

That lighter was made to show you how bad smoking is! Who cares about the cancer, but do you even KNOW how many cigarette lighters are killed per day!?

You should try using ACETONE in your lighter, next time, not charcoal lighter fluid.
I tried that once and it worked stunningly well.
