I'm going to try and drink a two liter every day for this vacation. I also saw the new Mtn Dew logo. It was ok, but not as good as the current one.

Its at the farthenst reaches of Static Crack. The Sprite people don't dare to go near it. Its basically a large circle of land that is always struck by lightining. That being said, the rest of Static Crack tends to be hit by lighting alot, but putting yourself into Static Circle is to risk being struck by lighting.

Finally, I think the 1.1 version of the game (so the update some time after it is first submitted) should include a bonus easter egg, where Fizzy dreams of fighting Mello Yello, and after Fizzy beats it, he wakes up.

Ok, that sounds good. More sodas to kll equals more :3 fr Mountain Dew. How hard is the Mello Yello? Normal? Hard? Or is it meant to be like an epilouge to the boss?

Sorry, the past few days I've been through computer hell, with a terrible virus making me work through the most painful of stresses trying to get rid of it, and yes, suicidal thoughts. It made me think of how much I'm addicted to my computer. So I haven't worked on the game since before Christmas Eve. I'll start working soon.

how can you guys like Mountain Dew? I think it tastes like shit. I decided to try another can a few days ago and it tasted horrible as usual.

Guys, I hired Morgan Freeman to do the narrating of the story at the beginning of the game :)

Guys, I am making a Mountain Dew Mad Libs game! A nice little sub project that we can work on. I will manage it and such and contribute a few stories, but I'm counting on YOU GUYS to contribute a few stories, and I'll add them to the game. The stories must be mountain dew related, of course.

Just post a story on this thread. Also, if you don't know what Mad Libs is, just ask. Here is the first story that I wrote. When you post your story here, make sure it's in this format:

Pepsi Co. is such a * negative noun* for getting rid of the *adjective* beverage, Supernova.
My name is *human's name, first and last*, and this is a poem about how much I miss the
*adjective of texture*, redish-*name of color*ish beverage:

I miss the way it tastes with *name of food*,
I miss the way the ginseng relieves my painful *name of body part*,
I miss the way it *plural verb* in the refrigerator at 7-Eleven

That story is definitely to be extended and changed, I'll add maybe 5 more lines. Also, notice how the "word to be filled in" so to speak is put inside two **'s. This story is not normal format (cause it's a poem), so I expect the normal story to be about 8-10 lines, 7 to be the shortest, as long as there are a fair amount of WTBFI (words to be filled in).

And of course, take your time making these stories. Make them as perfect as you can.

FINALLY, VERY IMPORTANT:
Make sure you post the general idea of your story here before you get into detail with it, so two or so people here don't happen to end up with the same story!

Heh, it would be pretty sweet if there was a MTN Dew truck that was like an ice cream truck.

And now for the new logo. I'd been seeing new Pepsi logos all around Shoprite, and even a new Sierra Mist logo inside a vending machine. But then I went to the soda isle to pick up a 2liter. Then I saw it. The new logo for my precious Mountain Dew.

Rant warning coming up.

The new logo is full of suck and fail. When someone posted a conception drawing in the club, I wasn't too impressed, but it was OK. Then they made th new logos, and went through with all the logos on the page except for the Dew one. The NEW logo, is just... unprofessional. You wouldn't be able to tell that a prestigious brand like PepsiCo made it. First of, its wat too small. It should be sized up a bit. But the worst part is the background. Sure, it has mountains in it, which is always a plus. But the mountains have some of the crappiest artwork I have ever seen. And the mountains are scattered all over. I could probably make a background like that in GIMP.

But all shit artwork aside, it still tastes good. And I guess thats what matters.

Oh, and heres my Chapter 2 story for the game. I'm taking Furryfox's suggestion for a 7-up enemy into account.

After narrowly surviving the onslaught by the Pepper tribe, Kikovsky gave heed to the words of the Coke warrior, and led Fizzy to a small port town at the base of Tonic Peak. There, he met up with a 7-up sailor named Gordon. After some quick bargaining, Kikovsky and Fizzy hopped on Gordon's boat, headed for Static Crack. But Gordon was up to no good. He drew a survival knife and crept toward Kikovsky, who was horribly seasick and bent over the side of the boat, looking to kill him and take his wallet. Fizzy, however, saw this, and leapt to save his master.

[BEGIN FIGHT 2]

With Gordon dead, Kikovsky took the wheel,and with Fizzy aboard, headed for Static Crack.

As I was lurking through the Clubs & Crews forum I couldn't help but notice this group. Mountain Dew is pretty awesome. In fact, it's so awesome that KJ-52 made a whole friggin song about it. I totally know what he's talking about. My job sells MD for 50 cents a can. I buy so much of it that it's gonna bankrupt me one of these days. :(

Its nice to have a new member in our ranks. You should know that me and hhcash are producing an entire fighting game in Flash, where you play as MTN Dew and beat up other sodas. If you are good at scripting, animating, or drawing in Flash, or are just a good artist, you might want to help out. If it ges right, the MDC will be getting mucho kudos for the game.

Well, I've cranked out, two ackgrounds, the Mountain and the Island Condo, but only the Mountain is going to be used in the game. I'm chugging along with the story, but I already have the general storyline for the first two chapters. hhcash is trying to learn Actionscripting for the game, but I don't think its going so well. He already has the menu screen, though. I have the character models for Regular and Supernova Dew and Dr. Pepper done, but thats all I have. I should be able to start work again on New Years day. If you want to see hhcash's menu screen or my drawings, its all on the past few pages.

Sorry, I can't really help you out in the flash department at the moment. Someday, perhaps, but not now. I do, however, suggest that you incorporate I'm Addicted to Mountain Dew by KJ-52 in your flash. If you can't do it without ruining the flash then please, please, please make it the official crew anthem. :D

I don't know, we can try to find a place to put it. Maybe as one of the battle songs. I haven't heard it yet, though, but I'll make my judgement after I hear it.

Yeah, to add on to the 7-UP scene of the game, I feel that the little town that the very few 7-UPs left live in should be a quiet, small, rugged, abandoned town. the 7-ups are pirates, because they are very poor since no one supports nor cares about them.

I have this cool idea in my head to make an entire world out of this soda scheme we are creating, and all the productions we make can take place in this soda world. I plan to make a little map out of this world, and will include the locations in this game (such as Static Crack), along with new locations that we can use in future movies or games.

Also, please don't overlook that idea I threw out about the Mad Libs. IM MAKIN IT RATHER YOU LIKE IT OR NOT.
