*Mortis stops gorging the corpse with the bitten-off head, wipes off his mouth and bows. He puts away his tail mace-whip and goes to Cromwell*

After the cave had started glowing, the pendant had burned a bright red, scaring his chest in its image. The medalion only glowed a golden yellow now. "Its had never done that before," Marik thought. He agian looked around, nothing made sense, he didn't feel placed right, there was no open fields, mountainious regions, or even beaches in sight for that matter. Tall structures surrounded him. He felt very out of place. His 16 year old mind could not even comprihend what had just happened. He looked down, checking himself, nothing was lost, he was just as he was after the light. Suddenly, fear overcame him, where was he to go? His asnwers in the cave of unlocking the potential of his pendant were now lost. A strange world had now fallen apon him.

Marik looked up, the sky clouded, nothing like the sky he had seen before, a pure peircing blue, no, this one was a grey. He felt evil in it. Left and right, nothing but these seemingly endless structures that seemed to touch the very heavans themselves. Down, black hardened ground, he fell to his knees on it. "Why.." he muttered siently, "WHY!" he screamed. This was not his earth anymore, it was someone elses. He wept, confused, puzzled, and angry. He held his pendant even closer to him. It golwed a briliant gold now. He took a deep breath to calm himself down and center himself. The golden luster faded from the pendant and became its normal bronze color. He now decided to take action, he rose to his feet and looked for a sign, anythig really. The the sun started to fade away into the sky, lowering into its nightly slumber.
He was suddenly startled by a huge craking noise, he looked around but only saw the silluett of somthing up high, it jumping from scraper to scraper. He continued to look, and saw a man, flying after it? "What? he does not touch the ground?" He said in surprise, and decided to follow the beast in secrecy from the "flying man." He would use no spells to let him summon light, someone would see him then, he decided to keep his pressnece unknown to some point. Whatever the beast was, he sensed great power, and great evil in it. Stronger than any ever felt. Could he actually take this "thing" on if he confronted it? Maybe he was maing a mistake, but it was the only thing he had to go off now.
He continued to run, only led by the beast sounds, and the man in the air.

Pirates, I assume they are some form of creature raised by magic in the past. I doubt they could offer us much, the pirates have long run a socially, and technologically inferior society to ours. I have no objection to you finding them, just make sure you dont get roped into following their path, whatever the reasons be.

((Sanctuary G'night))
Name: Taelyn ap Arian (or simply Taelyn Arian if you prefer)
Age: approx. 293 Earth Years
Appearance: Variable, Taelyn can change his shape to suit his purpose and tastes. Generally he has black leather gloves and boots, red vinyl pants and half jaket, black wide-necked long-sleeved shirt, long black hair, prominent Fae ears, and burning ruby red eyes. All his teeth naturally appear to be sharp and pointed, with large fang-like canines, however he masks this often, although his wide grin always seems to make people somehow uneasy. He's aged himself somewhat, looking more a man of 24 then 17, but this also is variable and controllable.
Family: In the Fae world, lots... in our universe, none
Alignment: I wouldn't say he has one, although he does try to do what he thinks is right for himself and others.
Weapons:
Katars - Taelyn's melee weapons of choice. His two foot long Katars were made by the Fae world's greatest smith out of single pieces of ore. The craftmanship is like nothing seen on Earth.
Pistols - Raven Mk1 and MK2 Mini-SER Millitary Class Assault Pistols. These little beasts are incredably powerful and are the only prototypes of the weapons in existance.
Weapon Skills: Most of Taelyn's weapon knowledge comes from constant training and growing up in the Fae world following a strict educational regime imposed by his father Arian.
Blades: Arian's favourite, and popular with Taelyn too. Although Taelyn prefers his katars or other twin blades, he is also proficient in two handed weapons and use of sword and shield.
Firearms: "A necessary evil" Arian referred to guns as. Taelyn on the other hand loves them, and is a damn good shot.
Martial Arts: Taelyn's favouite passtime growing up was sparring with bare hands. Some argue he is better then his father ever was.
Fighter Craft: Taelyn's own passion in relatively recent years. When it comes to flying and fighting in small craft, he's hard to beat.
Bio:
In the Antartica battle, Taelyn was caught in a number of blasts and seperated from most of the action. Having little real knowledge of Earth and its weapons seemed to have caught up with him sooner then expected. When things settled, he went to Josephine's wedding and was borred to tears at the Earth version of the custom, but managed to spice things up (and annoy a few of the members) by making passes at the various young ladies there (including Josephine). He appologized of course, and as the others came to learn, Taelyn has his own sense of humor that can get to people at times, but is never meant to harm anyone. Taelyn returned to the jungle and lived with Blair and Abner there until Blair's death. As was said before, all full blooded Fae pay a heavy cost to exist in our world, Blair gave up natural Fae immortality.
Taelyn never had a love for business and the administrative duties of his father's companies was put into the hands of Taelyn's aunt Emilla (his mother's sister) who had come to Earth to learn about the people and secretly look after Taelyn from afar. Taelyn was the owner of the company in name, but liked to remain out of the public eye. When companies began to merge all over the globe to stay competative and manage the dwindling resources, Emilla quickly merged all the companies she had control of into what became and has remained, the Earth's top developer of new electronic technology, The Arian Universal Syndicate (AUS). AUS develops products ranging from computers, to robotics, to weaponry. The AUS true claim to fame was the discovery of Starrite, which led to the Starrite Energy Reactor (SER). A clean source of energy, able to produce as much power as fifty large nuclear power plants, using only the space equal to a small house. The problem is, most companies on Earth refuse to replace their outdated pollution causing methods of processing with SER-based technology because of the costs involved. Starrite itself is a very versatile metal, with mysterious properties. It gives off no radiation signatures, although it seems slightly warm to the touch and obviously is a source of incredable energy. The metal is also very hard, over ten times stronger then diamond. The source of Starrite is a secret, as it doesn't appear to exist anywhere on earth, and the element itself is property of the AUS.
When the pollution on Earth became too much, the AUS set a record as the first company to every completely leave a planet. The AUS opperates now entirely from giant space stations. There is a branch office orbiting Earth, Mars, and the Moon. No one knows which station is the head office or what goes on inside. The AUS seems to always operate at incredable efficiency, and never hires new personal. Durring the War, the AUS provided weaponry to the SCA while giving the appearance of nutrality so as not to be a target. The AUS stations are some of the most heavily armed ever made though, and some wonder how well a fleet would fair against them. After the war, the AUS struck a deal with the SCA, and removed themself from Earth rule entirely, gaining status as a seperate and independant power in the universe.
The AUS continues to publish various high tech goods to the market of all three worlds, although what the company is really about and what secrets they hide is anyone's guess.
Emilla has always supported Taelyn, and being the official owner has made Taelyn one of the richest, even if unknown, people in the universe. He drops in on Jean and Abner, as well as Emilla only on occation, often dissapearing for years at a time. He eventually did become friends with Josephine, somewhat to Jean's chagrin, through a similarity they share... they are both young immortals and children of immortals. He drops in on her more then the others, but finds her daily life far too borring, so soon dissapears once again. No one has seen Taelyn though in this era for the last few years, until now.

"This demon is a friend of yours?" The assassin asked still holding his sword in the ready position.
Other: Scientists went to the moon and discovered the alien ruins there, but found very little material to actually study. The site has since been examined over and over and eventually forgot about, although scholars still speculate to its origins. When colonies on the moon began to appear, the site was made a tourist attraction for anyone to see, however special clearance is needed to go up close.

OK I think's that about it, might have missed a few details but if its anything important I'm sure it will come up.
*Taelyn laughs returning Abner's hug*
Good to see ya too Abner, geeze its only been what...
*Taelyn counts off on his fingers*
hmm... whoa 4, 5 years? heh, maybe I shoulda wrote or something. Anyway yeah good news, courtesy of auntie's company. Seems the AUS has a few things you old boys might like to know about.
*He shoots a glance over to Gattsu*
I still don't trust him... seems odd. How did he get here from his time anyway?
*He changes to Japanese... he's fluent in it, but never could do the accents like his dad.*
Relax, I'm no threat to anyone here. I'm friends with these guys. And trust me I'm no demon, although I've been called worse.
*He laughs again and pulls the old silver cigarette case out of his jacket.*
Where was I... oh yeah good news.
*He pulls out a small disk, commonly used to transport visual data.*
Where's your player Jean? This disk is what I've come to show you.
*Jean gathers a bottle of a very rare(esspecially on this planet) vintage and four glasses. He explains the situation in japanese to the samuri. Pouring the drinks he allows himself to finally sit. A party of four. it has almost always been like this. Jean takes a drink reminding himself what tends to happen to the host.* We are of course all pleased to see you here. You have proven a loyal friend. While your motives are questionable I know my daughter is an adult and I trust her. On top of that I trained her myself, I know what she can do when she does not want to be touched. One comment on her wanting it and you'll need to change into non-incinerated clothing. You said that you have news?
