Karn ripped open another enemy fighter's cockpit open, its occupant killed by the vacuum of space,"Pity they can't survive in the vacuum, I always was partial to an old fasioned sword fight!" Karn said with a laugh letting his rage coarse through him.
The "Soaring Hunter" could easily be seen amidst the enormous fleets of the Dark Avatars. Karn could feel Gattsu's life force dwindling. He could feel Nobunaga's enormous energy, he could feel Dorian's immense power back on Earth.
Karn could see the demon forces of the Netherrealm locked in battle with the fleets of the Dark Avatars, the demons were tearing holes in the armor of the ships and entering their hulls, they would hurl concentrated hellfire at the section of shielding until it was depleated. Demons were entering the hull breaches and taking the fight straight to the people inside the capital ships. This battle was far from over...
We need to keep this going.
*Eli sets up a link with Lawrence.*
Lawrence, my men are getting a little jumpy on here. The soldiers and I are asking that we move the fight to the planet. We are ready to finish this and it seems like that may be the quickest way.
Guess who's back...
*LeChuck caught the jug of Poison and moved to drink it, but froze before the bottle reached his lips. He sighed and slowly lowered the bottle*
"Shite, am I insane? I can get drunk now...I can't drink before a fight, christ...."
*LeChuck threw the bottle back to Atomicus and took his Captains seat on the Widowmaker. He started barking out orders, and he noticed Lawrence's fleet assisting the EWCA fleet, and the sight of the Dark Avatars' combined fleets was a sight to behold. He got on the radio and ordered the nearest technician to find Lawrence's frequency without allowing it to be intercepted or he'd have his head. Lucky for that technician he was in the zone on that day...LeChuck promoted him and got on the line.*
"Lawrence, you old dog, listen up. I've gotten some strange reports of corporate forces and Jovians suddenly teaming up behind Dorian, so something tells me he's either become insanely magical, or that's not Dorian. How are you holding up against Nobunaga? We've got some reinforcements on the way."
*Behind him, At'Poth let out another high-pitched hissing aka laughter, and clutched his drying pot-belly. He spoke into his radio, and a large fleet became visible behind the Widowmaker. About 50,000 modified Jyeet Darts, with improved armor and better weapons, as well as 10 capital ships, and the massive Jyeet flagship in the cube shape, Trokojh; It had been newly named after the first one had been destroyed in a battle between the Jyeets and the now-extinct Pogs. Damn suicidal freaks...*
*LeChuck got on the radio again.*
"Bialetti, give me a status report NOW"
*A crackled response came back moments later.*
"Sir, we've lost contact with Major Bialetti several hours ago. As far as we know, he's now several levels below the surface with an EWCA commander by the name of Mensk. From our most recent report, about 40 minutes ago, they're still alive, but encountering much heavier resistance since the Corporates and Jovians have somehow allied."
*LeChuck clenched his teeth and gurgled.*
"WELL FIND HIM!" He screamed
"Yes Sir" and the radio cut off.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------
*Down on Earth, several levels below the surface, Bialetti and what remained of his team of Elites were surrounded by holding their own. They had been able to set up a mobile cannon, and had a stable perimeter of plasma shields and automatic shotguns with HI (Highly Incendiary) rounds, with a touch of modern alchemy that produced a poisonous gas when it contacted skin. Now having been pretty far separated from Mensk, Bialetti had deemed it safe to use the gas. Each soldier had on personal gas masks, so the corporates were dropping with much higher efficiency. The Jovians, however, were not as affected by the gas. They had to be directly hit by the rounds to be killed. Bialetti himself was away from the group, slashing and dodging with his dual plasma blades and his own personal super-heated boomerang. He could only catch it with one hand, and it took a while to charge up to the 1000 degrees of heat, but the throw went a distance and the heat destroyed most things it came within 3 feet of. Bialetti had been trying to find Mensk again so he could move his troops. While their position was a good one, with a little physical cover left from some destroyed buildings, it would be prudent of them to move at this point. Perhaps drop a small concentrated bomb to clear a path first. He contemplated all this as he continued to cut and slash through Jovians and Corporates alike.*

Lawrence: No, stay away from Earth. These ships are a far greater threat to us at present than a few thousand ground troops, even if they do have one of the Avatars with them. Although I see your point... Take the Arc Hammer III and move into orbit around Earth, blow the living hell out of any corporate controlled areas and try to destroy as many landing craft as you can.
Lawrence: I noticed, at least we stand a fighting chance with our forces massed against the enemy. I still have the feeling that we are fighting a losing battle though, so don't get your hopes up.
Dorian is just an empty shell now, the Dark Avatar posesses him. Those troops will fight as fiercely and with the strength of our best with his magic posessing them, the same goes for Nobunaga, except his lot are immortal. Fortunately for us though a fairly large group of some demon-like creatures have shown up, at a guess I would say they were something from whatever acursed place the Avatars sprang from, although I could be mistaken. What matters is that they are attacking Nobunaga's fleet, giving us something of an edge. Hold on a second, Navcom has something to report.
*Lawrence pauses the link and turns to the bridge interface*
Navcom: This is a matter of the most urgency.
Lawrence: Well, what is it?
Navcom: The source of the attacks on my mainframe is very close, I fear at this proximity it may have more success with it's probes.
Lawrence: Can you stop it?
Navcom: Negative. Should my security be breached then the ship will be defenceless.
Lawrence: Then we should pray your security holds up.
*He turns to the bridge crew*
Lawrence: Concentrate all fire on the breaches in enemy ships, those demons are giving us a chance, be it intentional or not.
*Lawrence's ships pour laser and anti-matter fire into the breaches, causing massive internal damage to the enemy mass. But for every ship that goes down, another springs up to take it's place. On the edge of the Sol system, a large craft of unknown design drops out of hyperspace. It appears to be in bad shape, a crude and defenceless hulk that lurches across the starfield like a wounded beast*
Navcom: Icarus is near. It is corrupting my external systems, I will have to delete them.
Lawrence: Then do so! We need to buy some time...
Navcom: My system integrity will not last.
Lawrence: Alright alright...
*He thinks for a moment*
Lawrence: Full power to gravity wells, take us through the enemy fleet.
*Lusankya shuts down the engines and weapons, instead rocketing into Nobunaga's fleet. The gravity wells cause strange patterns of light in space as they tear away anything in their path*

*Eli smiles.* Till the end, Jean. *Eli slows the Arc Hammer III to a speed as to which the Crossbones can catch up. The Instigator follows suit. The side cannons on both ships pounding all life within range of the ships, along with the Arc Hammer III's constant barrage of fire onto the Earth's surface. The ships fall come onto either side of the Crossbones. The Instigator on the outside facing space, and the Arc Hammer III facing Earth. The two ships combine their defences to allow protection for the Crossbones.
Eli: Jean if you need to we still have enough room on our ships for passengers. Anytime your ready we can dock with you and have your men come with us. Untill then just concentrate on ships in front of and behind us.
My brother, your guardian will not fall. Is there a destination? *Jean strains to both minspeak and maintain the wind force that keeps the ship compartmant from decompressing. The unbreakble claws dug into the floor add to stability needed to maintain this consentration. An attempt to weld anything would weaken the structure of the area, ice would break and bring with it newly brittle metal, magical forces would mean lowering the anti magic fields and allowing enemy attack. For the moment all that can be done to battle the force of space itself is to wage it against the power of one man. It is all so very black, but earth must not fall.*

*Many of the damaged systems on Earth power up again, defence turrets target ECWA troops and anyone that poses a threat to the OWCA. One of the PA speakers near the Avatar emits a grating mechanical voice*
Icarus: I have been sent by your siblings to aid the current battle. Direct me.
*Lusankya tears apart anything that comes into contact with it's gravity wells, creating a wake of destruction through the enemy fleet. This is not to last however, and as abruptly as it had started it's rampage, the ship stops dead in space*
Lawrence: What's going on!?
Navcom: It was necessary for me to delete the software that controls the gravity wells, our secondary propulsion and defence systems are still under my control, but we do not have sufficient power to make effective use of them.
*An explosion throws everyone on the bridge to the deck. Some of the emergency lighting flickers out*
Lawrence: Everyone head to the escape pods, get to Earth if you can!
*No sooner has the last technician vacated the bridge than the main viewport cracks and shatters out into space. Lawrence remains clutching his command console until the atmosphere has vented completely. He calls out to Navcom, only then remembering the vacuum. The console displays a text message*
Navcom: [We have taken heavy damage, I suggest that you evacuate]
*Lawrence reaches down to the keypad*
Lawrence: [I still have a use for this ship. Stay with me a while longer]
Navcom: [I am afraid that is not possible, my operating system must be deleted to ensure that the enemy AI does not gain control over my systems]
Lawrence: [Can't you upload it again?]
*There is no response. Lawrence runs a system check on the ship and finds no trace of Navcom*
Great, time to do this without a supercomputer...
*Lawrence slaves control of the ship to his console and uses what little power remains to activate the engines, all the time the hull of the ship being pounded into shrapnel by the OWCA fleet*
Failgrounds.
*The Widowmaker dodges and flies through the enemy fleet, LeChuck personally flying the ship. The Jyeets were now fully engaged with the OWCA and Nobunaga's fleet, and Trokojh was leading the attack. Thanks to it's unique deflective armor, it had taken little damage compared to the amount it was dealing out. But it was a steady stream, and as much as the Jyeets would like to believe it, the ship was not invincible. While it could sustain much more damage, LeChuck knew it would only be a matter of time before it was destroyed. Still, it was blasting Nobunaga's fighters relentlessly. The Widowmaker shook as it took a hit.*
"Dammit!" LeChuck cursed.
Tech: Sir, we've got a problem
"What?!" LeChuck spun on the man, grinding his teeth. The man gulped and quickly wiped his brow before continuing.
Tech: Lawrence....his...his ship is all but destroyed
"What?" LeChuck's voice was slightly quieter, but more distressed. The soldier moved back so LeChuck could peer into their 'telescope' fixture that had a man constantly scanning the battlefield with computers and various other machines. LeChuck could see the Instigator slowly disintegrating in space, and he zoomed in as it spun from taking a large hit in the side, seeing Lawrence grasping to some debris, as the vacuum of space sucked all the air from the ship. He gasped.
"Shit! Frommer, take the wheel (old habits die hard)! I've got to go get him."
Capt: But sir, you'll be flying right into the fray. The Instigator has become a primary OWCA target. They're turning more and more guns on it by the second. I don't think it'll be there much lo--
*LeChuck was at the man's throat, just barely restraining himself from snapping his neck.
"Then I'd better be fast, eh?"
*The Captain quickly nodded. LeChuck let him go and shot off through the wall. He sped through space, dodging plasma blasts and anti-matter alike, reaching the Instigator quickly. He landed next to Lawrence, and the suction was not so bad anymore as almost all the air had been sucked out. They just had to hold on to not get knocked around by blasts, and to keep themselves rooted, what with no gravity and everything. LeChuck clapped his hand on Lawrence's shoulder and started shouting. Immediately, he slapped his hand to his forehead. Lawrence simply looked at him with a slight smile. LeChuck growled and dug into his boot. He brought out a crystal and showed it a moment to Lawrence before draping it over his neck. He grabbed his leg a second later.*
Fucking christ, I'm right here and I've gotta use this crap....you're in a tight spot, mate. Yer whole crew is gone, and I'm not quite sure why you're not yet gone either. This tub is done for, she'll be scrap in a few minutes. Grab hold of my shirt and come aboard the Widowmaker, mate. It's your last choice unless ye wanna go solo against a Sun-Crusher
*LeChuck grabbed onto the railing and awaited Lawrence's response. Hopefully he would be quick about it, since the ship was being slowly decimated.*
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

*Bialetti noticed the automated guns turning on and heard the mechanical voice speaking. He instantly knew this was an enemy. He didn't have any family members on the battlefield, and he was damn sure Mensk didn't have any, either. He cursed to himself and spoke into his radio.*
"Alpha Delta, Beta Delta, focus all fire on those automated guns! I want as many of those things destroyed before they start adding to the firefight!"
*Two squads consisting of 20 men each began effectively moving throughout the field, setting charges at each installment, and blowing them at safe distances. There were many guns, but each one that was destroyed was one less automated enemy.*
*Bialetti took a plasma blade through the leg, and he barked in rage as he beheaded the Jovian behind him. He fought wounded for a moment before his leg could heal. He was suddenly caught off balance as he felt the overwhelming presence of thousands of Immortals...*
What the Hell...
*His moment was disrupted by several primitive spears and swords coming his way, and he deftly dodged them, fighting on, having no idea what was going on up in space.*

Aye, aye, but of course. How silly of me. Well mate, do what ye must. Just dont be an ass and get yourself killed.
*LeChuck gave one final nod to Lawrence and jumped back off into space. He just barely dodged a Corporate fighter, and snarled as he shot back to the Widowmaker. He got back on the bridge and shivered once a moment.*
"Brrr, space is cold. Captain, get us a safe distance away from the Instigator. I've got a feeling Lawrence is going to do something interesting before that hunk of junk goes entirely..."
*The Captain affirmed, and the ship moved a safe distance away from the Instigator, keeping their firing rate up steadily on the Corporate fleet. Trokojh's giant MS guns were firing single, massive spikes into Nobunaga's fleet, taking out large ships with every shot. There were still hundreds, but every one less was one less cause for worry. At'Poth himself was in his personal fighter squadron (think Darth Vader), running amok in the dogfight, adding more notches on his metaphorical belt.*
((Lysaer, the Instigator is my ship. Lawrence is on Lusankya. Just thought I'd clear that up.))
As the three ships move on, the Arc Hammer III continued it's barrage of bases on the Earth's surface. According to the information Eli had hacked there were only two more major installations left on the Earth. Eli set a course with the larger ship. The Crossbones and Instigator followed.
Eli: Yes Jean I have been instructed to take out the major military installations on the planets surface. So far it's been a pretty easy job.
As soon as Eli said that a large cannon caught the very back of the Instigator causing it to begin to explode. About forty escape pods made it over to the Arc Hammer III. The rest wern't so lucky. Among the survivors were Pontius, Faust, and Collins.
Eli: Jean I don't know how long I can protect you with your side exposed to the majority of the enemy ships.
*Dorian laughs loudly when he hears Icarus' voice.*
Dorian: "Hear that!? That's one of many voices bringing your doom."
*Dorian makes a great leap towards Mengsk and rips him right out of his combat suit. Mengsk pulls his knife and stabs Dorian, to no avail.*
Dorian: "I only bleed when I want to. You can't kill an Avatar."
*Dorian begins using telepathy to penetrate Mengsk's mind, but encounters remarkable resistance. He stops and tosses Mengsk away into a wall about a hundred meter away.*
Humans, the little bastards are developing psychic powers. That vermin isn't worth spending much time on, especially not when I can just rip what I need from one of these others.
*As the Jovians and corporates with Dorian butcher the soldiers that accompanied Mengsk, Dorian singles one out and grabs him by the throat. After a second or two, he is done and tosses the soldier in a random direction. A Jovian picks him up again and throws him over the edge, sending him plummeting towards Earth's surface. Dorian, now having a better idea of his surroundings, continues his journey down to the surface.*
*Meanwhile, in space, the ECWA fleet is doing what it can, but with Icarus aiding the corporate fleet, the government troops seem to stand little chance against the massive corporate fleet.*

Zanzibar cracked his neck as he slowly emerged from his ship. It had deftly avoided the barrage of firepower being shot outside and had burried itself into the hull of Nobunaga's flag ship. On board the "Soaring Hunter"
----------------------------------------------
Nobunaga watched the action onscreen, the battle was in full swing, the number of those fighting on both sides was staggering! Nobunaga reveled in the chaos, he knew that it would not be over before he was able to join the fray.
Nobunaga could sense the Dauthi members outside the door, he looked over to Gattsu who was struggling to remain concious.
"Just look at them Gattsu, all of them are pushing aside their differences to fight a common foe, how cinematically dramatic! They can never understand how big this truly is, they will never understand that even if they win- The war will not end, for it is being fought on too many fronts. What you see on this screen is happening in every parrellel dimension as we speak. Of course each fleet is commanded by different avatars, but the fact remains: Even if you defeat us, someday, somewhere there will be another one of us that has come to finish what we started. " Nobunaga smiled with that statement, knowing that even if he was killed here this day, he would be avenged.
Gattsu looked up from his haze, fighting to keep his head up, "And every time another comes... Someone will be here to kill them." Gattsu struggled to speak.
Nobunaga sneered at the hopeful reply, "Will there? We shall see samurai, we shall see."
In the battle
-------------------
Karn and a squadron of pit dragons flew quickly towards Nobunaga's Delta-1 fleet. There were Acheron Launchers that were powering up to launch concentrated Necromite energy at the Earth's surface. The impacts would cause massive damage to the surface of the planet.
"Squad, we need to take out those Acheron Launchers before they can fire at the planet! Swift attack formation now!" Karn moved to the head of a V shaped formation. The babylonian scimitar ebbed with energy and rage.
The Launchers were collecting energy for their massive bursts that had the power to vaporize over 100 miles of terrain, naturally all of the launchers had been targeting populated areas.
Dah'Kee and his host of demons continued their strike against the capital ships and fighters.
Time was of the essence, and time was something they had little of!

From infront of him a small squad of guard burts through a door. Zanzibar smile and jumped forward. A barrage of blades and gun shots riddled the guard with holes. As Zanzibar ran past they mangle corpses he smiled.
Jumping over them he began sprinting up the stairs. In the smoke the bodies began floating and joined the army of corpses that were being dragged in Zanzibar's smokey wake.
"AVATAR!"
Zanzibar saw a air vent and exploded into smoke. He quickly flew through the smoke vents, killing many as he traveled through the massive ship.
He shouted in the vents and his vioce echoed through the ship. "Where are you... where are you Nobunaga?!?"
*The Arc Hammer III is taking care of all enemy forces coming within range of it's weapons. The cannons on the ship shreaded surrounding ships. The remaining soldiers onboard couldn't wait till the battle took to the ground, so they could finally avenge their killed allies. Eli just sat in his chair staring at the screen not talking other than barking a command here and there. He wouldn't admit it but he was just as jumpy about getting back into battle.*
