*Josephine watches from a screen connected to the camera.* Not storming in with guns blazing. They sent a smart one this time. *She pushes a butten to reach her people.* Clear out of the facility. Yes I mean it. What's going down here can only happen one on one. *She arms herself with the speed she learned from her father.* No combat instuctor like an overprotective father. *People are moving out of the building in a relitively calm manner. They have been prepared for this and they know the intruder is not here for them. *Fully decked out for war she again activates the buildings p.a system.* Just you and me now buddy.
*Arcturus stands in front of a screen. Thick armour has moved in front of the bridge's windows. The bridge is well illuminated, all the officers are very busy at their computer panels and the command tower is buzzing with activity, but the commanding general is still on the bridge.*
I see that Mr. Raze finally arrived and managed to reach the planet's surface. He's late.
Arcturus: "Hmpf, far too late for my taste.... Malder, send the special signal for Mr. Raze."
*A strong signal is sent from the Corporate Pride to the planet. It's nothing more than some static, but when one displays it on a screen and looks carefully, the DefTech corporate logo can be seen. The logo is an old rifle crossed with a sword on a round, copper plate. Both weapons are made out of silver and show little detail.*
You had better do your job well, Mr. Raze. I didn't hire a mercenary just to waste my money.
The Newgrounds forums are not for serious debate, but humorous entertainment only.
*Raze notices comotion amongst the building. It seems that all the relative guards he was about to encounter were leaving their posts.*
What? This is odd.
*Raze hears his comm making an odd noise and sees a staticy message on the visual portion of the comm. He looks at it closely and a smile rises widely on his face.*
Well, Plan B. Time to rush this.
*Raze feels for his Tachi holstered to his back and its comfort drives him. A sword he had been using for many, many years - and many, many deaths. He unholsters his hand guns, both of them, and headed for the building. One guard was still departing and spotted Raze. Before the guard could do, or say, anything, Raze was kicking the guard in the knee. The guard's leg snapped back with the one strike and the guard fell towards the ground. Raze caught him, smothering his mouth from the painful yelp. Raze quickly snapped the guards neck back on his own knee and threw him aside. Then Lion commed him.*
Lion: The motion, i see it. Someone has told them to disperse, they know your there.
Raze: Thanks for tip, wise guy.
Lion: Seriously, this is intense. My systems sense an immortal presence.
Raze: The girl?
Lion: Quite possibly.
Raze: Two birds with one stone. I got the signal, they want the power down now.
Lion: I marked their central unit on your system. The immortal is traveling to the main floor. Get to the bottom floor and hook the comm up to the shield control panel like i said, then get the girl. First things first. You have exactly 13 seconds to get on an elevator, she is on her way.
*Raze did not even bother to reply. Raze, who was once known as Mattox Renart, was -is- the fastest immortal to ever exist, he felt anyways. One encounter many years back with Lysaar proved he was on his way to that ranking of speed.. At that moment he sped to the doors at the back of the building. Raze traveled so fast that time nearly stopped, and he was nearly invisible. Over the course of the years, Raze had only had time to improve his speed. He was faster then a bullet, light, sound... though, his speed still drained him, significantly.*
*Raze did not even bother to slow to open the doors, he barged through the glass entrance and immediately headed for an elevator. He knew the girl must have been on the stairs or heading in that direction or Lion would not have told him to take the elevator. Stopping, he had only been one second. He clicked the elevator button and waited. Soon it was 5 seconds, then 10. The elevator door opened and he jumped in clicking the button to close the doors. As they finally shut and the elevator began moving down, he took a moment to catch his breath.*
Stupid woman, she should have left the guards, taking the shileds down has been made much easier for me. Maybe she only believes i am there for her.
*Raze got out of the elevator and looked around. With no one in sight he entered the control room and saw the green sticker on the lower portion of the controls.*
Raze: *comming Lion* I am hooking you up now.
Lion: Got it.
*Raze slipped the connection into the port and the comm screen went red. It soon said, 'In Progress...'*
Good.
*Raze walked out the door, shuting it behind him. He pulled out a small laser and melted the screws that held the face plate to the small control that activated the opening and closing of the door. He played with a few wires, mixing and matching appropriately and popped the face plate back in. The doors then locked immedtiatly. He was glad these doors were even to strong to be pentrated by his own speed Or at least without a lot of work and time. He just lost his comm, but he had at least guaranteed his victory in the shields going down.*
Now, for the girl.
*Raze looked around and could hear some comotion above him. He figured she'd come to him. He pulled out his guns once more and suddenly he heard a 'beep'. The shields were 50% down. They were in a weakened state and in another 30 seconds would be down fully. Part one of his mission was complete.*
(I am assuming we are of different time zones, so i will check in earlier tomorrow morning, if i can.)
*Raze heard the final beep and knew part 1 of his mission was sucessful. However, there was silence and he was unsure of where that girl had gone.*
Christ, where is she?
*He headed for upstairs and this time decided to walk them. When he got to the large lobby he saw and heard nothing. He needed to do a search as he thought that maybe she came to her senses and scrammed. He wished he had his comm so he cold ask Lion where the immortal presence went, but, of course, he ruined that chance. He was glad that comm was a backup and did not have his identity on it, otherwise he would have to try and retreave it.*
Upstairs maybe?
(Ok guys, I'm going to explain what happened to Gattsu and Karn, where they disappeared to, and what events have been happening sence they disappeared.)
Gattsu realized what was going on when he felt the whispers in his head. The Netherrealm had found him. Kintaro and Trilexx's wrath would never cease. The samurai-ninja knew that if he stayed with his new friends then they would only suffer.
He made his decision, he would leave, now that he had the ability to travel time and space with his new skills passed to him through Moloch's essence.
But he would not go alone, one other link could bring Netherrealm's armies to the world... Karn. Gattsu approached his nemises with a proposition.
"We work together to fight a common foe, or we both perish. We have a better chance of survival togather." Gattsu said.
Karn paused in his cell for a moment, and suprisingly he agreed to Gattsu's desperate truce.
A new alliance had been formed, bitter enemies became the only hope for one another. And so they left, they faded into the weave of time and space.
For years they ran from the relentless forces of the Netherrealm. Their fight for survival raged across parrallel dimentions and time itself.
Then one day the two warriors decided to stop running and face their fate. They stopped on a parrallel Earth. There were many differences, the friends they had made on our Earth were not the same people they were in our own dimension.
But they befriended them as well. And strangely enough, the two once rivals and now become...Friends...
And Gattsu himself let go of his emotions and learned to let people in, that is how he and Josephine fell for each other( The Josephine of that reality, not the one in the RP).
As their new friends stood up to help them face the inevitable Trilexx and Kintaro began their onslaught on the realm.
In the aftermath of the battle, Karn and Abner slayed Trilexx in battle. Gattsu finally took the head of Kintaro. Yet, the realm was in shambles from the war. And Josephine lay dead in Gattsu's arms. (By the way I hope that the creator of Josephine doesen't mind that I used her likeness, The fact is I wanted to make Gattsu more "human" by showing that he isnt just a warrior. I also want to illustrate the fact that whenever Gattsu does meet the Josephine of the "current time" he will not take it well at all, but he will also realize that the two Josephines are completely different people. And it will send him into a sort of depression. If you do have a problem with it just let me know, and I will change the story a bit.)
The war was over Gattsu had felt a loss that he had never felt before, and Gattsu changed dramatically. Karn decided that it would be a good time to return to their original world... And Gattsu believed that there is no better time like the present.
Gattsu and Karn will make their return....

Try again. *She walks from behind the shield of a shadow, sword drawn* I assume you're here to get to dad through me. Fair warning I've reached 520 with people trying that. But I like to think I've kept my girlish figure. People say I don't look a day over 517.
(I don't mind at all the making of a parellel her. Plus it'll be good to have another guy on this side of the fight.)
Bio, finally
Name: Josephine
Age: 520
Aura: Good
Occupation: Doctor and business woman.
Appearance: 5 foot 7. Long red hair currently in a ponytail. Striking green eyes. Toned body and is in general extrodinarily beautiful
Equipment: Alloy katana. Next generation razor whip. energy knife. Twin energy pistols which could combine into a very formatable rifle.
Skills: Extensive medical knowledge. Mastery of martial arts, weapons and tactics. Well versed in security measures ranging from state of the art to ancient. Can drive or fly just about anything.
Powers: illusion and stealth somehow beyond mere training. She has yet to display other magical abilities.
Josephine was born in 1980 in the city of Paris, France. Her mother, Samantha, was a computer programmer and her father, Gerard, was a painter. Gerard was also an alcohalic and womanizer. One day his adventures went too far and we brought aids into his home and into his wife. After a hasty divorce Samantha decided to leave France and make sure her daughter was safe from her letch of a father even beyond her death. Through an American reletive she had an arranged marrage to Jean, a government agent in training. She died soon after. Jean Had given Josephine a necklace on the day they had met. He later explained to her the magic of her nature and how that necklace would conceal her untill she could fight for herself. He then trained her for battle. She was a dedicated and gifted student with an extrodinarily motivated instructor. Before long Jean was more a father to her than Gerard ever attempted to be. When she grew into an adult she took up a role in her father's emerging business interests. She also fell in love with Jim. After a wedding marred only by the advances of one of dads old army buddies thier time together was stolen. Jim came down with an innoperable cancer and died a little after their first anneversary. She was so upset that she raced away on her motorcycle, crashed, and walked away a full immortal. From there she devoted herself to study of medicene so that others would have the chances they did not. Since then she has spent time both as a healer and business woman. She has also shined in the other nature of her people. One unfortunate attempted assasin tried for her and lost his head. The quckening (immortal transfere of power and knowledge to the head taker) Left her with the knowledge of this mans well studied espionage. Clearly this was another try to get at dad and his powers through her. Somehow recently such attempts had stopped. Now she lives as the town doctor and overseer at one of her fathers colonies. The wine trade as well as a few others kept her business side well honed while the relaxed tone of a small town doctor eased her tension towards the medical craft. She dislikes violence, so when it is nessesary she does it fast and right.
Malder: "Planetary shields are down. The Apocalyps-class cruiser is standing by. Let's strike while we can!"
Arcturus: "Indeed. You know what to do. Give the order to test the prototype of our toxin."
*The Apocalyps-cruiser moves even closer to the planet, releasing a red, filthy compound in the atmosphere that looks a bit like mist. It doesn't take long before it spreads far and wide and reaches the surface where it begins to kill all organisms, plants, humans, animals, fungi and bacteria, on the planet. It even has a corroding effect on the buildings. Part of the compound is absorbed by the ground, polluting it greatly. The Apocalyps-cruiser uses the disruptor nodes to fire EMP at and create EMP-fields over different parts of the planet, frying any electronic circuitry located there. The vessel fires its remaining, normal cannons on the city below and creates an impressive barrage, even though much of its normal weaponry has been sacrificed for disruptor weapons. Arcturus watches the holographic projection of the planet and the effects of the attack.*
Now, they learn to have some respect for the corporate alliance and the DefTech. corporation. If they didn't fear us before, then they do have a reason to now. Mr. Raze did his job well. I wonder how his secondary objective is faring. Earth comes closer every passing second.
Out of character:
About the outcome of this battle, who's going to 'win'? Is someone even going to 'win'? Do we use judges of some kind or compromise? There is no strategic system at all (which is understandable and good, not having one gives more freedom) and I can understand it perfectly if Jean (or should I refer to the character's controller, Staffighter, in these 'out of character' parts?) doesn't want to lose his system. I wouldn't want to lose my system either if I were in his shoes. If he wants to keep his system, then I won't be an asshole by claiming victory. In that case, I will retreat the (damaged) corporate fleet from his system after having done a fair bit of damage and having collected enough material for the corporate propaganda machine.

(You hurt my guys. I'll hurt you now and then we can do the everyone leaving for plot advancment deal.)
*Jean sees the devistation on his world. This infuriates him beyond the feelings of any beast. In his rage he again takes control of Liberte through the exoskeliton(so very glad I had this idea before the fight) and set it to counter measure omega. Suddenly the machine starts to spin. It gains speed untill it's cycles per second reduce it to a blur. At this point the jump systems are fired and it tears through the shield and into the Apocalyps-cruiser. Here it detonates an explosion that with brilliant light consumes both. Jean falls into his capitains chair. Seemingly catatonic.*
*Arcturus sees the destruction of his modified Apocalyps-cruiser on the screen. He's gnashing his teeth and cursing softly.*
Damn you, Jean. That's my ship built with my money you're destroying there. You're not rid of me yet, not immediately.
Arcturus: : "Malder, target the Anti-Matter Accelerator at that planet's capital city. Do the same with our main cannon. Then, we will leave. We're done here."
*The beam weapon and the anti-matter projectile are the last things to impact on Jean's planet. After having brought much destruction to this world, the corporate fleet turns around and starts heading towards the edge of the system to make the jump back to corporate space. Arcturus moves back to his seat.*
Arcturus: "Make sure that the data our sensors collected will be put to good use, Malder. Tell our news networks to make a report of it. Tell them to make it something about.... terrorists launching an unprovoked attack at one of our ships carrying a dangerous substance and thus polluting their own planet or something.... Yes, something like that. Feel free to add something if you think it's missing something, Malder. And Give them some nice and pretty pictures to work with."
I will ruin your system, Jean. Not with only war and not now, but I will ruin it. You'll feel the might of the corporate propaganda machine. No doubt we'll meet again. Hopefully, Mr. Raze will succeed in kidnapping Josephine. Then I will truly hurt you...

so tuvey's been walking round for the past 56 days, regardless of food or water, slaugtering countless people, he should just relax, eventhough he has been haunted many times during his travels, he finds a inn, 59 miles to the west to stay in,
tuvey enters and a man recognises him and confronts him
man: you're late
tuvey: why
man: you've lost track of who you are
tuvey: (thoughts) oh shit
man: and the 15,000dollars you owe me
tuvey: i don't owe you shit
man shouts; now
tuvey jumps and kicks the goon in the face, then another 4 goons confront him, quickly before you can say annihilate, tuvey throws his daggers 1 by 1 into their hearts, after reclaiming them, the man said: this isn't over yet, yet a dagger found his heart and in seconds, collapses and when they looked at tuvey, he disappears into the wind
(Back, for good this time)
*Lusankya spins around, the gravity wells providing it with abnormal agility for such a large ship. Lawrence notices the Corporate fleet withdrawing, and brings his ship back past Paris on another strafing run, then forms up with his two other vessels*
Lawrence: Navcom, an analysis of that substance released into the atmosphere if you please.
Navcom: It appears to be a highly acidic compound, toxic to most, if not all of the life in this system.
Lawrence: Damn... Not playing by the rules of war anymore then.
*He comms Jabitha aboard the Inquisitor*
Jabitha: Anything the matter?
Lawrence: Not particularly, other than everyone on that planet dying as we speak. Arcturus dosent want this system for it's strategic value anymore, it's become a personal vendetta against Jean.
Jabitha: Dangerous... Especially during a war. Commanders cant afford to waste resources like that if anyone ever finds out about it.
Lawrence: What can they do? He leads DefTech, even if the other corporations did find out, they cant afford to lose such a large portion of their military, it could turn the tide of the war at this stage.
Jabitha: I take it we wont be spending much more time around him then?
Lawrence: Correct. I want to try and get into dealings with the other corporations as soon as possible. Prepare the ships for a jump to these coordinates.
*He transmits some data*
Lawrence: There wont be much for you to do until I can take things further with the OWCA.
Jabitha: Alright, but I hate sitting around.
*Lawrence ends the transmission and contacts Eli*
Lawrence: I might be going away for a while fairly soon, at present the Instigator is captained by Navcom, but as you can imagine, it reduces the number of operations the system can perform. And as amazing as Navcom is, there are other areas of control that could be improved if we had an immortal in charge. If you are interested then head over to the Instigator, Navcom will give you access to all the system commands, but will retain full control of the ship, just so you dont try to steal it or anything.
*He ends that message and makes one final transmission*
Lawrence: Arcturus, I assume the battle is over for now. The total annihilation of everything on that planet was a little extreme in my opinion, but I suppose you are in charge... Anyway, I'm sure once you call in some more ships the invasion should go ahead as planned.
Now, seeing as I have provided you with my services recently, and demonstrated my good faith to the OWCA, I was wondering if you could gaurentee me safe passage to the Corporate core worlds, and persuade the leaders of the corporations to meet with me in order to negotiate a proper alliance. Narutally I will be going alone, I know you only allow registered warships into that region of space.

Arcturus: "The corporations don't tolerate the interference of third parties in favour of the ECWA. The destruction of the planet serves as a clear message to all those who would previously be willing to fight us and aid the government. This is war, Lawrence, and the ECWA forces aren't exactly holy saints either. We won't call in anymore ships for the time being. We don't want to lose anymore ships. A complete blokkade of this system would prove to be more effective. You will be allowed access to the corporate core worlds, but you will be accompanied by a squadron of my soldiers on board of your ship and a HACS-class cruiser. You would also do well not to tell anyone of this battle, especially not anyone outside the corporations. Good luck on your journey, Lawrence."
Malder: "General, incoming corporate transmission. Heavily encrypted."
Arcturus: "Send it through to my office."
*Arcturus walks a short distance through a corridor and enters a room. A takes his seat behind his desk and activates the laptop. A heavily built middle aged man with short, brown hair appears on the screen. It's the head of the Mars Mining Corporation.*
Arcturus: "Greetings, Dorian. How are things? I take it you received the report already?"
Dorian: "I have. You lost an Apocalyps-class cruiser and retreated."
Arcturus: "We launched an effective strike at a dangerous planet, took out a powerful enemy weapon in the hands of our enemies and crippled an enemy fleet."
Dorian: "I don't care about the resources of that planet, but I do care about you wasting those we already have!"
*Arcturus rises up out of seat, angered by Dorian's words.*
Arcturus: "May I remind you that we conquered the Zauis-system because of MY ships and MY command! The DefTech has been far more succesful than your Mining Corporation, Dorian! If you hadn't allowed your ships to take such a beating from the ECWA forces in the first place we might not even be in this stalemate right now. And don't forget that my ships just tested a new weapon."
*Arcturus calms down and sits again.*
Arcturus: "Now, what business do you wish to discuss?"
*Another face appears on the screen, this time of an elderly, long bearded man with a wrinkled forehead and light, grey hair. More faces appear on the screen until the screen is divided into many small compartments, each with one face. Whenever one speaks, that face is enlarged. A young man with long, blond hair and green eyes speaks.*
Miller: "I want t.."
*He's interrupted by an older man.*
Kindler: "Shut it, Miller. Just because you're in the Corporate Shadow Council now doesn't mean you can...."
Miller: "I have every right to speak and I wi..."
Arcturus: "Enough of your bickering! What does the Corporate Shadow Council want?"
Kindler: "We want information about the aliens. We know that you're looking for artefacts and doing research."
Miller: "I demand to know why."
*Arcturus sighs for a moment.*
Arcturus: "For new weapons and technology, of course. You saw what we just did. You saw the test of the toxin. That is only the beginning."
Kindler: "There's more to it than that, Arcturus. We read the report about the Jump Accelerator."
Miller: "A Jump Accelerator? What are you talking about!?"
Kindler: "And now the new kid knows too."
Arcturus: "It's too soon to speak about that. We're nowhere near building one yet."
Dorian: "Kindler recently conquered a small, frozen government research outpost. He's.... having trouble with an alien installation on the planet and some government boobytraps... You're Immortal and have the men best suited for the task. We have reasons to believe it has to do with the Jump Accelerator."
Arcturus: "I'll go there and see what I can do."
Miller: "Him? I want to take a loo.."
Kindler: "It is decided then that Arcturus will go."
*All members nod, except for Miller, who is silent, but angry.*
Arcturus: "I know which world you're talking about and I will leave immediately."
Kindler: "Don't dissappoint us, Arcturus."
Arcturus: "I know how to do my job, Kindler. I will investigate the ruins myself and get that technology so you can take a look at it in your research labs. Good day, gentleman. There's much work to be done. We all have a war to fight. Let's get back to it, shall we?"
*They all nod and the screen goes blank, but then the faces of Dorian, Kindler and the face of woman with short red hair appear on the screen again.*
Veronica: "Miller is becoming more and more aggressive. It was a mistake to ever let him into the Council. There's never been so much friction as since he's in."
Dorian: "I know he's annoying, but we couldn't just ignore him. Although annoying and aggressive, he is an economic genius and he is in charge of the largest food corporation. It has grown significantly."
Kindler: "Still, he's a threat to our union. He must be dealt with.... somehow...."
Veronica: "Assassinate the pest. I believe that his heir is just as capable as he is and a lot less noisy."
Arcturus: "I think I already have the right man for the job. He's currently on a mission for me. Ever heard of Mr. Raze?"
Kindler: "If you think he can do this, Arcturus, then use him to kill Miller. We believe Miller has even started his own, private search for the artefacts and is keeping secrets from the rest of the corporate council."
Dorian: "I know we had our differences in the past, Arcturus, but you must deal with Miller. We can't have some rookie ruin things for us. I suspect he would even deal with ECWA forces. Kill him."
Arcturus: "Leave it up to me. Arcturus out."

*Josephine hears on his now hip located communicator about the damage that the commotion she heard meant. The report was from a workr who had made it to an escape pod on the side of the planet the escaping fleet would be unlikly to notice. A lot of lives were lost and dads crew was in a poor place to save survivors, but they would. She had ordered this building to be locked down after the merc entered. The place was air tight with only the inside plant life providing oxegen. It was very possible they were the last living things on the planet.* Well, I guess now it really is just you and me.
(Sorry, was on vacation from work. New Years was insane. Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all)
*LeChuck tightens his fist around his metal cup, effectively squishing it into a short, metal chopstick. He grinds his teeth together as a low growl escapes from his throat. The messenger nervously looks around and quietly mutters his leaving, and backs out of the room, keeping his eyes on LeChuck. When he reaches the door he spins and runs. No one wants to be around LeChuck when he looks like this. LeChuck's eye finally starts twitching.*
"MOTHER FUCKER!"
*He throws the makeshift-chopstick, sending it flying through 5 walls and finally imbedding itself in a refridgerator several building away. Back in his chamber he stands and screams again.*
"That was my favorite vineyard you fried, ye cretin!"
*LeChuck growls again as he zooms out of his room and into Zanzibar's. The man is practicing his swordsmanship with 15 cyborgs, deftly deflecting and parrying their attacks, with lasers and "swords", with his newer models of his 12 swords. At the sound of LeChuck's entrance (which he had eventually gotten used to after almost 1000 years), and with his back still to him, he calls a halt to the exercise. The cyborgs immediately shut down, and the 12 swords return to their mysterious hiding places withing Zanzibar's jacket as he turns to face LeChuck, already mid-cigar lighting as he speaks.*
"What ails you, mate?"
*LeChuck is in his face with a small holographic projector. He firmly prods the "on" button as an image of the red mist hitting Jean's planet and destroying it graces Zanzibar's eyes. He slowly frowns.*
"So.....Arcturus wasn't kidding."
"No he bloody wasn't!" LeChuck yells. He turns and is about to throw the projector another thousand yards through walls when Zanzibar quickly takes it from his hand. LeChuck pantomimes the throw anyway. He turns to face Zanzibar again with arms out.*
"So what now?! I fuckin' hate that Corporation prick! I've watched him murder innocents left and right for hundreds of years now! He's almost as bad as I was back in the day, an' you know tha's damn bad!"
*He ends the sentence with an accusatory finger pointed in Zanzibar's direction. He shrugs slowly as he puffs on his cigar.*
"Aye, you were quite the scourge of the seas. But I'm confused. You've compared his grisly tactics to yourself, which I am finding to be quite an accurate comparison, as well. However, I've never seen you so riled up about someone mimicking your style before. What makes it s--"
*LeChuck is in his face once more, Zanzibar a little taken aback by how fast he seems to be countering his points.*
"I never....ever.....set out to kill and destroy innocents to expand an empire. I may have roamed the seas and preyed on merchants and sailors and.....sometimes women and children. But I never attacked innocent isl--well.....okay, I never did nothing like he did. I may have killed some people to get what I wanted, but killing was never my main objective. Not only did he destroy ALL life on OUR FRIENDS planet, but he's made it like Iokur! COMPLETELY UNINHABITABLE! It's fucking toxic! Entirely! And the WORST part about all this is!---"
"He used part of the artifacts with which to create that toxin."
*LeChuck spun at the voice behind him. He found Syrus leaning against the doorway, smoking a cigarette.*
"Where the bloody hell have you been?!"
*Syrus slowly approached the two.* "Nevermind that. About what you were just saying. Yes. Arcturus has just proved himself to be the fool of all fools. Not only did he use the tainted 'artifacts' to create a weapon, he fired it upon a planet. This will not only cause more strife for us in the long run......but he has just essentially given the Dark Avatars a beacon to this world. It's like laying out a welcome mat."
"Christ..." *LeChuck buried his face in his hands and sat on a nearby chair. Zanzibar hmm'd as he smoked his cigar. Syrus calmly stood silent a moment before continuing.*
"Now, to answer your first rude question, I was actually trying to arrange a meeting with Arcturus himself in an attempt to dissuade him from using the artifacts in any way, shape, or form. I gave him fair warning, which he of course ignored completely. He even had the audacity to jump to Jean's system in front of me, and then have a lackey inform me he was away on 'business'. Needless to say, I hate him as much as you do, LeChuck."
"Tha's impossible." LeChuck interrupted. "He didn't hurt your friend. You didn't know Jean. He helped us way back when, you know. The SCA. Plus, his wine was exquisite! And now, we don't even know if he's alive! Last we saw of him was he sent Liberte self-destructing into the Apocalypse cruiser, with himself inside it. I'm sure he's alive, and we've told our captains to hold off and maintain a defensive barrier around the planet. Plus..."
*He glance at Zanzibar before continuing. Zanzibar knew this meant LeChuck had done something without consulting with him, and he immediately grimaced. LeChuck continued.*
"In light of Jean being severely hurt, I had sent those transports without him asking. I didn't care, I knew he'd want his people saved. I was only able to save a couple hundred. We.....we couldn't find Josephine in time. We also sent out 500 fighters to guard one transport that picked up Jean not long ago, floating out in space. We'll be bringing him and his people here soon."
*He looked at Zanzibar again. He was not angry, but was slightly smiling. LeChuck had not only shown immediate initiative, but compassionate initiative. LeChuck waved a finger.*
"This ain't becomin' a habit, mate. Jean an' what remains of his people will be here soon. We'll have to hold off the procedure."
*At this Zanzibar seemed upset, but quickly changed expressions. He straightened his jacket as he sighed.*
"Well, we should be getting on to the docking bay to greet our new guests then."
*Zanzibar quickly commed the concierge.*
"Trey, have our best suite made up for a dear friend of ours. Also, prepare accomodations for some several hundred odd unexpected guests. Give them anything they desire. They just lost their home."
*Zanzibar motioned to the door that all three might leave to greet the new arrivals. Syrus nodded. LeChuck grunted. The three proceeded out the doorway towards the main docking bay, where the transports had just come into sight and would be docking momentarily.*
(Sorry I said I rescued you, Jean, but I figured you destroyed Liberte, you went into a coma in space, the OWCA left, your planet is completely fucked. Im just wondering what happened to Raze and Josephine. If you have any objections, just post whatever you want to and Ill reneg all that about saving you and your people. Also, Raze, if you're looking for a way out without being eaten by that toxic shit or whatever, you could make a way out or have made it onto a transport without us knowing who you were or something. Only if you want. And Jean, whatever Josephine does is up to you, naturally. Just giving you the opening considering what happened)
*A Corporate shuttle is sent to pick up Lawrence, he is shown on board by a pair of soldiers*
Soldier: Alright, do you have any weapons on you or other potentially dangerous objects?
Lawrence: No, only this data recording device.
*He places his tome on a low table in the centre of the passenger compartment*
Soldier: Then you wont object to a search.
*Two of the soldiers frisk Lawrence, his amphistaff always moving under his robes to avoid detection*
Soldier: Very good, what about that device?
*He motions to the tome*
Lawrence: Just a custom datapad, nothing dangerous.
Soldier: We should check it anyway.
*He runs a sensory stick of some description over the tome*
Soldier: Interesting, you say this was custom made? What kind of alloy is it?
Lawrence: A compound of some rare metals, the maker didn't tell me exactly what he used.
Soldier: Well it dosent register as dangerous in any way, we should be able to depart soon.
*The soldier in charge heads up to the cockpit, Lawrence takes a seat and opens his tome. When a few minutes have passed the soldier returns and sits opposite Lawrence*
Soldier: We have been cleared to depart, this shuttle runs state-of-the-art corporate technology, but it will still take several days to cross the barrier and reach the core worlds, not to mention the security checkpoints we will have to pass.
Lawrence: Not a problem, I have plenty of time to spare.
*The shuttle exits the docking bay and moves to the edge of the fleet before shooting off into hyperspace*
Soldier: So, what do you want with the OWCA?
Lawrence: There is a war going on, could be for years to come. I simply want to ally myself with the side that can produce the most resources.
Soldier: What makes you think we would want the help of some old priest?
*The other two soldiers in the room seem amused by this*
Lawrence: You just supply the resources and i'll supply the firepower ok?
Soldier: What, two Sun Crushers and some ancient SCA relic?
Lawrence: Well lets just say there are a few modifications that would make my ships a valuable asset to your people.
Soldier: Hmph, the corporations wont waste their time with you.
*Lawrence gives the soldier a patronising smile*
Lawrence: You just concentrate on getting me to the ball, then the big boys can talk about what is best for the corporations.
*The soldier stands up*
Soldier: Dont push your luck, I'm still in charge here and I wont take any of your crap!
Lawrence: Or what? You're going to disobey a direct order to see me safely to the core worlds?
*The soldier seems infuriated, his slow brain trying to come up with an adequate response. In the end he storms out of the chamber and back to the cockpit*
Lawrence: Yes, that's what I thought.
*He goes back to reading from his tome*

((I hope you don't mind Doc but I'm going to have Eli with you, there isn't much he can do on the ship by himself.))
*Feeling naked without his weapon Eli sits listening to the conversation. He smiles after Lawrence makes his remark.* This is fun. I'm getting restless. All this space combat bores me. It's so much more fun cutting off heads. Do you think these guys are going to be able to contribute to our research on the Ancient Ones.

(Alrighty then)

Shh!
*Lawrence waves his hand, the guards now hear nothing but an opressive silence in the room*
That's better. They might well give us something to work with, I know Arcturus was researching them, he might have more artifacts we dont know about. Then again, he was taking an interest in alien technology in general, it might just be coincidence that he stumbled across those Avatar tablets. Needless to say, if we want to persue that line of inquiry it will have to go through the top lines of command and back into DefTech. It could take us a while to gain that level of trust.

True enough. But I thought you and these guys were already pretty good together. I could of course weasel my way back there. Unless there is some kind of Immortal detector back there they'll never find me. And even if they do find me they won't have any clue who I am. But of course this is your decision not mine.

I have impressed them enough to warrant an audience with their leaders, believe me that was hard enough. It will be a long time before they would trust me with that kind of information.
Perhaps once we reach the core worlds some sneaking around may be called for, until then I suggest we just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Sounds good to me.*Eli lifts his right hand and waves it once. A cloud of what seemed like smoke arose.* Good, my powers havn't become stale over the years.*He crosses his legs looking bemused. He leans a little closer to Lawrence and lowers his voice.* I certaintly hop all the guards are as pompous and stupid as that one. It will make my job much easier.

*Jean slowly comes to and recognizes the style of the structure and those of his pirate allies. His sences are slowly returning. It seems the integration circuts worked all too well. When the robot fell he felt all of it. Any mortal would be dead now. One world was gone, as it would have been with no resistance. But there had been resistance, one that the corperates could not mearly shake off. He tries to stand and falters. He activates the exoskeletons strength enhancers just to give himself the fortitude to stand. Josephine was still alive. He would feel her death. But she was no doubt in peril or else she would have been by his side. His people will need him now. He could not forgive the deaths of those innocents. While Lawrence might allow himself to make friends with users of those tactics Eli would not.* I hope where you are you are learning what you need to know mon frair (it means my brother.)
*Malder enters Arcturus' quarters and hands him a data disc with Syrus' message. Arcturus reads it quickly before giving it back to Malder. He speaks with curiosity.*
Arcturus: "Admiral Syrus? Hmmm, Tortuga, Greupetos, correct? The disc tells me about LeChuck and Zanzibar, two pirates, or at least, they used to be."
Malder: "Indeed. They're an independent system, but some of the ships we saw in Jean's system belonged to them. They came to his aid."
Arcturus: "Interesting...... Admiral Syrus wanted the artefacts, spoke of danger, thinks he can threaten us and they seem to allied with Jean. Sounds like they're people who will only give us trouble. Still, I think it would be worth it to have a few of our agents contact them. They were criminals once and perhaps money can still lure them. Tell the agents to offer them money for artefacts. If they want something else, well, then tell them that we can negotiate."
Malder: "I will send the agents, but I don't expect much succes. You are sure you want to do this?"
Arcturus: "I have my doubts about this little plan too, Malder, so just give the mission to some useless cannonfodder. It won't matter if they get killed."
*Meanwhile, the Corporate Pride, accompanied by one battleship, jumps into another corporate system, again on the edge of corporate space. This time it is hovering above a frozen, snowy world. There are only two other corporate capital ships in the system and 3 planets with no moons in total. After Malder left Arcturus' quarters, Arcturus changed into his military uniform with his long brown coat. The corporate logo was visible on his hat and chest. He moved towards the fighter bay to take a transport down to the planet's surface.*

(Sorry i was away this morning. So i am assuming the toxins have been released and Josephine and Raze are secure in the building, air tight. I am not sure if ou want josephine kidnapped, so by the outcome of the slight battle, i will leave that up to you.)

Not a day over thirty.
*Raze steps a side and looks about the room for any oppertunities that present themselves, just in case.*
Raze: I am not here for your goddamn father. I am here for you. You can come with me safely, my ship would be awaiting out side, or you can get hostile and maybe get caught up in this now-over-poluted planet. Make it easy, or fun?

Raze: So?

So, you seem to have the same problem as your employer. You think you're being nice trying to move the people you have no right to move peacfully. But one question. Would they have paid what they paid if I was going to make it easy?

Raze: As of now, i am getting nothing for your capture. You are like a... bonus. In more ways then one i might add.
*Raze spoke sarcastically with a wink.*
Raze: I don't care about rights and such. I do my job, and i do it well.
*Raze pulled out his gun so quickly that it took a second for Josephine to realize it was being pointed at her.*
Raze: So please, i am much older then you, let us not make this difficult.

Fun it is.
*Raze smiled at the wink. As she lept she she dissappeared and Raze stopped and sensed her coming from behind. He spun and saw the gun facing towards him. He moved right, with his speed, and grabbed her arm in the air throwing her into the ground. He threw her arm aside and placed his foot upon it, stopping her from firing at him and pinning her to the ground. He knelt down and pushed his cool metallic gun against her temple. The entire motion and speed seemed to shock the woman.*
Raze: I don't go easy on girls; and we are running out of time. Would you rather we both live, or both die?

You don't seem to be the kind who can afford to give women choices. *Her free arm releases the razor whip and it cuts through the gun. Using her new mobility she flips and kicks him soildly. The movment is just enough to jar him and free her arm. She rises and fires bursts of rounds while moving back.*
