Lets start off with the name its Skilla. Im looking to buy a skateboard, i dont care how much it is as long its not outrageous. When i was like 7 and 8 i used to skateboard all the time but someone stole it. I had an alien workshop or whatever. I can do nothing on one now. I bike and skooter but my main is skootering. All my friends are bikers I wanna throw up a fast ball do something they cant. I wanna be able to go somewhere and not just enjoy it on a bike I wanna have a little fun on a skateboard. I like to go big, I like to do gaps. The thing that got me into skateboarding is somebody finally showing me the video of this kid i know going off of a 20 foot roof and snapping 2 ankles. Bonedef brahski if you ask me.

Any suggestions on what kind of board to get? and or what I should look for?... thanks mates.

Then premo flip into a anticasper, after that 540 inward heelflip. Repeat 7,8 times.

I would do all that if it wasn't for Tommy making this happen..

Actually I think it's all about personal taste you know.
If you can't do jack I would advise to get the CHEAPEST board, like wal-mart or something and after that you can pretty much know what's most confortable for you.
The brands aren't that important, unless you're a super skater that wrecks a deck every week.

lmao mraw, ya, lets all take up parkour instead and bask in the riches we find ourselves with.

as for skilla, I got a board from zellers when I was really just starting, and then as soon as I could ollie I got a good set up for $160 and all I've had to replace is one bearing. I got it almost a year ago, in june.

yer i do, i got a sketchy old trampoline in my garden its quality

I know, the old ones is best, because back then it wasn't strict security rules about how high you would be able to bounce, so the old trampolines is the ones you jump highest on! :D

parkour
haha, i gotta admit it is fun but its got nothing on skating, i learnt a few flips of a springboard that was it

yeah, I think I prefer skating too, but they seem equally quality in terms of values and creativity and things like that. both of them involve tricks (more in skateboarding than in parkour mind you) on objects, and both have a smooth flow to them, and both of them really require the participant to find beauty in 'spots'. skateboarding, you find an abandoned set, or a weathered barrier or whatever and you love it because you can use it, and in parkour, finding a set of like five consecutive railings is paradise, and its sort of got a circus aspect to it because people see you doing these vaults and flips and they're amazed. Theres a spot in my schoolyard where there are six railings you can make into a line, so thats how I spend my lunch most days.
but yeah, both are amazing.

this is parkour (or freerunning)...
i reckon "tricking" is far more impressive though.
last summer i got quite into it and learned to backflip, frontflip and berani off the foor and a shit load of flips on my trampoline

woah, thats pretty impressive mraw. g-force and I were just out in the snow trying front flips and rolls and stuff, but all we could do was front flip and land on our backs. i still think parkour is better than tricking though, tricking is impressive, but its just another word for gymnastics. which is cool, but gymnastics just doesnt embody that sense of beauty that comes with finding a place and using it for something it isnt meant for.

Tricking = Xtreme Martial Arts
That could be trained to fit in free running.

Kickflip off big ledge at my skatepark.

Parkour

I can do stuff like that, but I like to do the fast running ones where you jump over stuff do spins and jump to ledges up ledges down stairs and just dont stop.

I've got a freind that can backplip about 6 times in a row. I wouldn't be suprised if he could be a parkourer.
I can do front flips of benches though.
