You're cool

(my gf is not in my room at the moment.) go Tigers! How are you feeling now? It is a shame that you left the Red Sox fans' club.

Meh just a fluke wait till tomorrow, and its still the beginning of the season. How is Manny doin for ya? Oh slump, I figured. I started disliking the Redsox after they traded Nomar. The heart of the team. Then they fucked up by not keeping some of the other players (Perdo, Derek). The organization if fucked up, just liked the Yankees. Nothing against the players though. Johnny Damon will still be one of my favorites either way.

You probably thought that they would never see them winning the WS, didn't you?

Uh, dipshit I was a Redsox fan. I was watching the game in 03 when Wakefield threw the knuckleball to Aaron Boone and just went down right field line.

Let me tell you this: Blanton's gem in the first game was a fluke, being average is his real level.

Uh, again look whos talking. 6.87 ERA but, look at Wells and Clement 10+ nice. Oh last time I checked its only the beginning of the season.

Too bad that all the four teams will be under 500 which makes me remember the NL West last year before SDG barely made over 500.

Again beginning of the season. SDG? San Diego Giants? Don't even say anything else.
Padres

You'd better hope that you boys fail to go to the postseason, or my Red Sox will have to embrass you guys 3 more times. :D:D:D PS: Schilling won again! (4-0)

Nah, A's have superb run support. Just wait and see. I know Schilling won again today, I was watching the game idiot

I notice you weren't taking the mickey out of the Yankees, after we did everything right last night. (Won, Mussina pitched well, Mariano got the save and Farnsworth also kept it together)

The A's look good today. Zito was sharp in 7 innings and my guys were leading 3-1 by the bottom of 8th. Hopefully, Huston Street will get the job done today so that we can be back to 500. :D

Another heartbreaking loss...I wonder why Mecha did not send Street on the mound. Sure he blew 1 save, but he is the closer. I am so tired of watching the team losing like this. Not this way! :(

Not at all. This is how they usually start out, but you wouldn't know because you're not a Yankees fan, nor are you a true Red Sox fan.

Plus mocking people is getting about as much good favor as faking you had a girlfriend was.

The Yankees started slow last season but ultimately won the AL East so I'm not ready to give the division to the Sox just yet.

Easy, man. If you feel offended by his comments, I apologize for his bragging since he will never apologize for what he said. He is like that sometimes. Let's just see which team tops the AL East at the end of the regular season. I believe that the Yankees should have the edge because of their championship tradition. A healthy Pavanno will also make the difference. Nevertheless, it will probably come to the last a few games to determine the winning team. Although my bf is not from Boston, he can still be a Red Sox fan. Not all the Red Sox fans are from Boston anyway. By the way, I noticed that Huston Street got injured, that was the reason why he did not pitch. Hopefully, he will recover soon, the team needs him.

Yes, it was a good outting for Zito, and with exception to his 1st inning blow-up Bonderman (former Athletic) had a good outting too. Unfortunately, your A's brought in Duchscherer (in place of the injured Street) and he's given up 3 runs. Then after walking the 3rd run of the inning in, he's was yanked for Saarloos who worked his way out of the bases loaded jam. Your A's then had me biting my nails when they loaded the bases on Rodney. I kept hoping for a double play to end it. Luckily Rodney struck out the final batter, pinch hitter Melhuse to pick up the win. Good game, good series.

Meanwhile, Beckett will be searching for his fourth win tonight as my Red Sox take on the Blue Jays. Yankees beat the Jays in the last series and Mussina pitched a gem, I will give you Yankee fans that. But let's say if they can get it going against the O's tonight. >:)

If I'm not mistaken AJ Burnett will pitch for the Jays. That should be fun to former Marlins going against each other.

The Braves are doing decent this year, but the Mets are putting up a fair challenge for the NL East title. Hopefully they will pick up the pace soon, because it would be a shame to see the Brave's title streak end. :*(

Oh, yea! That's right...should be a great clash. There were plenty of runors in the offseason saying that Burnett was going to the Red Sox. I do not know how he feels now as a Blue Jay since he did not enjoy himself as a Marlin. Intersting match, indeed.

So does that mean you're a Sox fan an A's fan or both?

If you bother going to the Elite Guard Barracks and check on page 290. You will understand the whole circumstance. Of course I am a Red Sox fan, I also like the A's and the Astros. IF my Red Sox's season ends before the A's or the Astro's or both, I am rooting for the remainer(s). But as long as my Red Sox are still in, I am always rooting for them. :) It is a shame that Manny's two 2 HRs did not bring my guys the victory. The Blue Jays had our numbers since lasdt year. :( Things are not looking good either for today since Halladay (BJ's ace) is pitching and DiNardo was lifted early. Hopefully, the O's can take 1 more from the Yankees. Believe it or not, the O's will not win the division no matter how hot they are at the beginning. Just wait and see.

Blah, the Yahoo NG League matchup between me and Cooper's Town is really tense. I'm winning 9-1, but he's got 3 starters up tomorrow (Esteban Loaiza, Kelvim Escobar, Jose Contreras), and it's close to a guarantee the ChiSox will win with Contreras on the mound (2-0, 1.29 ERA), so if Pedro can win against the Padres for me tonight, then it would be tied for team wins at 5-5, but if not, then he'll have won, for I have no starters going tomorrow. I was counting on Peavy (now 1-2, 4.32 ERA) to get a win against the Mets last night but he got a(n) ND in the 14-inning game, and Johan Santana is still struggling like crazy for me. He's now 0-3 with a 4.81 ERA. Somehow my best players are sucking (Santana, Peavy, Cordero, Jeff Kent, Rafael Furcal, Jose Guillen, Mike Gonzales) but my "meh" players are keeping me in the game (Kenny Rogers won, Brandon Webb won, Chris Capuano won, and one other player (dunno who) got a win, and my pickup players are hitting in place of my superstars). I'm still pondering which of my two pickup outfielders (Xavier Nady, 1B-OF for the Mets, and Austin Kearns, OF for the Reds) should be dropped in favor of Ty Wigginton, who hit ANOTHER homer last night for the D-Rays and is now .293-7-17 with 10 runs scored, and is STILL riding a hotstreak. I may just end up dropping them both and picking up Wigginton and Jay Gibbons, who has had a hit in every game except on the 15th against the Angels, and is .314-4-13 with 10 runs scored. I'm keeping a close eye on Ryan Zimmerman, who has a low average (.231 to date) but is keeping up the Nats with his 12 RBIs, although hitting only one homer. He seems to be picking up as of late, so depending on when Aubrey Huff returns to the D-Rays lineup and how that will affect Wigginton, Huff's backup at 3rd base, I may or may not pick him up.

I've been trying to coerce a fellow NG leaguer to trade me for Andruw Jones, who has been an absolute MONSTER as of late (.299-8-23 with 15 runs scored & 2 stolen bases), and had hit a homer in every game from the 16th-19th, including 2 on the 18th with 4 ribbies. I doubt i'll be able to get him here in exchange for my subpar outfield (Shannon Stewart-Austin Kearns*-Xavier Nady*, where * indicates my drop-and-go spots), so i'd end up having to trade for Andruw by giving up someone high in the rankings, such as my arsenal of pitchers (Brandon Webb, ranked 79th, Johan Santana, ranked 6th, Pedro, ranked 16th, Jake Peavy, ranked 20th, or Chad Cordero, ranked 83rd) or one of my high-ranked, low-performance [as of late] players (Rafael Furcal, ranked 36th, Jeff Kent, ranked 28th, Ryan Howard, ranked 41st, or Eric Chavez, ranked 68th). But as I doubt it'll happen either way, i'll have to keep up with my stat-tracking sign-and-drops, trying to ride the small hot streaks of the subpar group of free agent, non-injured OFs.

I'll be watching Xavier Nady now on tv, but Kearns has been hitless lately. So we'll see how things go. :)

Matchup for me vs. Cooper's Town as of right now:

http://baseball.fant..mp;mid1=7&mid2=9

See the closeness in stats? :(

My Red Sox are nuring a 4-3 lead against the Blue Jays at the sixth inning. The offense got it going early, but with that idiot (Matt Clement) still on the mound, 4 runs are not safe. Whenever he is on the mound, our offense has to produce lots of runs for him to blow. It is just another case today. Hopefully, we will prevail. (PS: does any solid No.3 pitcher available as free agent?)

It was a fortunate that Francona pulled Matt Clement off before he could blow more and my Red Sox prevailed to a 6-3 victory. On a side note, Papelbon got his major league leading 8th save although he surrendered 2 hits. (He still owns the perfect ERA though.) However, because of RJ's gem, my BoSox are still only leading the Yanks by 2 games. An intersting thing is that it seems to be a year that famous old pitchers come back to their heyday thus far with Maddux, Schilling both going 4-0 wit low ERAs. The next series for my Red Sox is against the Tribes. There are two advantages for us in the coming series. 1. Both Schilling snd Beckett will be pitching. 2. Sebthia is hurt and Paul Byrd has been too sharp with the Tribes' uniform. But Cliff Lee has proven that he belongs to the top. It should be a great series, I will be happy if we take 2 out of 3.

Both Kearns and Nady delivered well over the weekend. Kearns had 3 RBI today and Nady had a homer and 2 RBIs last night in Pedro's 11-strikeout win. Meanwhile, Ty Wigginton hit ANOTHER damned homer, putting him at 8 homers and 20 RBIs. I want to pick him up, but there's nobody that's bad enough to drop on my team outside of Shannon Stewart, but he rejoins the team tomorrow after four days without him because he was with his wife, who gave birth.

...So until someone that I can drop starts doing bad, no dice for Wigginton. :'(

Oh btw, Ryan Howard hit two homers today, one of which went 496 feet, the longest in Citizen's Bank Park history.

Hot stuff.
