You can blame Beane for trading Mulder and Hudson.

Well, I'm sure you guys heard about the little bee incident in a Spring Training game yesterday, didn't you? Apparently, what happened was the bees were attracted to pitcher Darren Oliver's hair gel. There was a substance in it that made the bees go towards him. What a way to call a game, eh?

And by the way, the Cubs are going to take it all this year. The Red Sox broke their streak, and I think it's time for the Cubs to break theirs.

Bandwagoner :P

If I was a bandwagoner, I'd be a Sox fan.

b) because I serously think they have got their pitching right this time
After their unbelieveable season 1998, their pitching started to suck

Now, the veterans who couldn't cut it have been shipped out (David Wells) and replaced by quality pitchers (Johnson) and some good young (ish) talent (Pavano, Wright)

c) Best offense in the Majors 2005 is my prediction.
You could be right, but then again they have had many 2-1 wins last season.

That was last season, I'm talking about our abilities with a rejuvinated Giambi, the return of Tino at 1st base and A-Rod, Jeter, Sheff, Godzilla and Bernie to slug us past any opponents.

While that is true, there is a good reason for it. One, everyone hates the Yanks. Two, it was fun watching them win for once.

After their unbelieveable season 1998, their pitching started to suck

Whatever you say, I think the Yanks have ALWAYS had the tools to win. It's a surprise they aren't champs every single year.

However last year I had them set to lose as I do this year. Why? Because I hate them, thats why.

Now, the veterans who couldn't cut it have been shipped out (David Wells) and replaced by quality pitchers (Johnson) and some good young (ish) talent (Pavano, Wright)

Anyone remember when Cone and Wells pitched perfect games in back to back summers? I was watching Cone pitch that game.

You could be right, but then again they have had many 2-1 wins last season.

Best offense? I dunno, there are alot of packed teams this year :/

Not the best world series I've ever watched, but I was rooting for the Cards. (Pujols needs a ring)

1 win in every 4 is still great numbers. Isn't it the Sox who are second with 6 championships? (Don't quote me, I'm not entirely sure.) That's still 20 behind us.

Anyone remember when Cone and Wells pitched perfect games in back to back summers? I was watching Cone pitch that game.

I watched Cone's perfect game. I'm in the UK and we were getting 2 games a week back then. I stayed up until about half 4 in the morning to watch it and was so happy, the morning after. (Side note, didn't Cone and Wells eventually go to the Sox?)

Best offense? I dunno, there are alot of packed teams this year :/

What? Baltimore with all their offence of Sosa and Tejada. Maybe, but they don't have the depth we do.

No, definitly not the best World Series, but by far the most intresting post season in a loooong time.

1 win in every 4 is still great numbers. Isn't it the Sox who are second with 6 championships? (Don't quote me, I'm not entirely sure.) That's still 20 behind us.

20 behind us.....the only reason the Yanks have been champs is because they're always a damned all-star team. It's not fair damnit, it just isn't fair.

I watched Cone's perfect game. I'm in the UK and we were getting 2 games a week back then. I stayed up until about half 4 in the morning to watch it and was so happy, the morning after. (Side note, didn't Cone and Wells eventually go to the Sox?)

Wells has been with just about everyone at this point. He's had a few good seasons, but he's mostly just a pitcher thats good to trade for.

What? Baltimore with all their offence of Sosa and Tejada. Maybe, but they don't have the depth we do.

Not just the AL, but the entire leauge. It's really tough to point out one team as the best offensively.

I think the Subway World Series was great. (Though as a Yankees fan, I'd love it if we win against anyone.) In the Year 2000, both NY teams were pretty good, but no-one really expected the Mets to get that far, there was talk of a rematch of the Braves and Yankees, from '99. (When I started watching baseball properly) The games themselves were not the best quality, but the people of New York certainly know how to put on a show, that's for sure.

I'm gonna have to go with the 75' Series featuring the Boston Red Sox and The Cincinnati Reds, ya dig? A lot of great moments in that one,

The Call.....The Homerun......that ball was foul god dammit >: (

But in the end, the Big Red Machine (Bench, Morgan, Concepcion, Foster, Griffey, Perez, Rose, Geronimo) came out victorious after 7 exciting and memorable games. The series has been considered by many baseball aficionados to be the absolute best of them all.

Ohhhhh yeah!

The Big Red Machine. Everyone seems to love that dynasty of Cincinatti Baseball. I must admit that it is one of the game's more colourful periods. (Pete Rose should be in the Hall of Fame, dammit!)

They were so dominating and powerful, most undoubtedly the greatest 8 man lineup to play in any point in history og the great game.

And yes, Rose should be in the Fame. But he screwed himself over and now he's gotta live with it....a damned shame.
