Billingsley are in trouble again, the Dodgers are doomed. At least Manny will not be factor in the WS if we somehow come back against the Rays.

No shutout, but just 1 ER over 7 innings, I'll take that any day. Once more it was pretty much a team effort, in both holding the Dodgers to just one run and scoring enough to give Cole a good cushion for that added confidence. Of course, those 2 runs that were unearned due to Furcals 3 errors in 1 inning won't be poo-pooed either. Take 'em any way you can get 'em I say.

I'm glad the series ended the way I hoped it would've. Philly is going nuts right now. I'm also glad that the team has an attitude that it's not done yet. Any reporter asking about how excited the team has gotten a bit of a subdued response, involving them saying that they know they're not done yet.

Yeah you would have to figure that Ramirez guy would get his just cause but besides him total domination by Cole Hamels.

I would like to give out my congratulations to you guys phileeguy, buddhist and pepeatumi and your Philadelphia Phillies for making the World Series for the first time since 1993,i hope they do win it all cause Philadelphia is long overdue for a championship of some sort considering the last was in 1980 by the Phillies so i wish you guys' team all the best in the World Series.

Also on a side note God bless Charlie Manuel for the day after he and his team clinches a trip to the World Series he will have to go bury his mom who passed away recently.

Phileeguy, do you still remember what happened to the once red-hot Rockies after a ten-days lay-off? They cooled off! As much you want every player to be well rested, you do not want them to rest for too long as well. A five-days rest is what the team needs the most. It may harm your team if the vocation is too long,

Yes, DoD... then again they were facing a much better Red Sox team last year. This year the Sox aren't doing well at all and after tonight they could be eliminated. If that happens BOTH the Rays and the Phils will deal with the extended break. No excuses for either team then. The only way I can see momentum and a hot team being a big factor is if the Sox find another miracle and win this ALCS in game 7 and ride that wave. Frankly, I don't see it happening.

Damn you, Joe Maddon! He KNEW that Beckett was struggling. Therefore Kazmir who is also struggling will start tonight. If even he loses, the Rays still have James Shields who have been very solid all year long in Game 6 against Becktt who may even not be heathy. We are doomed.

You've just destroyed all of that hard applied pessimism that I'd been ploughing towards Red Sox Nation. It was working as well!

Wow, Dream-of-Duke cheering his team on for a 2-1 series loss at Fenway. Who knew :P

Well, you've still got to win another 2 games in a row yet, before deciding whether or not to have Dice-K take the hill against the Phils. Tampa remain a potential banana skin for you, so I'd stick to concentrating on that part for now. However, he's unlikely to pitch for the remainder of the ALCS, unless extra innings are called for and then he'd only maybe do 1-2. If he does that in game 7, it might rule him out of game 1 against Hamels.

The vocation is 162 games.

The vacation is ten days, probably 6-7 for the Rays.

also, if Shields loses the next game, i'll be fuckin'....surprised.

and does anyone wanna take bets on how fucked up Beckett's shoulder is? Fatty needs to either fix his diet or fix his exercise regimen because apparently they're not working well with each other these days.

It is an off day today. Even if the Rays win tomorrw, they will not have a 6-7 days. They would have a week off if they knew how to protect a 7-0 lead. I am actually glad that it is an off day today, it will give the Rays one more day to think about their failure in Game 5. If that gets into their heads, we will have a great chance to win IF Beckett is healthy.

I would start Lester in Game 6 if I was the Red Sox's skipper. Beckett's health is a major concern. We are the side with momentum, Lester has chips on his shoulders after losing Game 3. If Lester wins Game 6 in regular rest, we will gain more momentum and it will gives Beckett one more day to rest. Joe Maddon switched the order between Kazmir and Shields and it worked well as Kazmir limited us to 2 hits. I think that Terry Francona should switch the order which will give us a better chance to advance.

Lester will get the ball tonight and have a chance for redemption. We have all the momentum in the world, if we can score a couple of runs early against Garza, we will probably seal through. :)

Too much Mattttttttt Garzzzzzzzzzzzzza... :(
At least his pitch-count is 100 after six innings. I do not want to see him after the seventh inning, he is unbelievable today which is bad news for us.
Come on, offense! It is now or never! We are trailing 2-1, have to score to stay alive! >:(
