In my first semester of university I took an Introductory Philosophy class, called "The Meaning of Life", in which we discussed different philosophies and theories about what constitutes a good life, how different cultures deal with the inevitability of death, etc.
Anyways, I was generally pretty studious in this class; I payed attention, took decent notes, whatever. But near the end of the year I figured fuck it and I went to it ripped out of my mind and of course that was the class where we discussed Existentialism; Sartre and Nietzsche in particular and that really FUCKED MY SHIT UP. I haven't gone to class high since. Though there are some boring professors that might be more tolerable when blazed, so I might consider it in the upcoming semester.
In high school it's a different story though. University lecture halls have a lot of anonymity and you can sort of easily blend into the mass of people, but high school classes (despite overcrowding) are still a really intimate environment and most of the time you stand out like a sore thumb, where most of the time everyone in the class (sometimes even the teacher) knows even if you think they don't. Not saying I didn't still do it though, but mostly in art and tech classes; like Auto, Graphic Design and Visual Arts, rarely for Academic heavy classes where a lot of oral participation and written work are required.
