By the way, not seeing the movie because of what it says is proof of ignorance. Why not see the other side of things for a change? Ive seen my share of pro bush right-sided stuff.

The movie does go a tad anti-Bush, but it is still worth watching. It shows a lot of facts you don't normally see elsewhere.

It's "Columbine" and I really disliked that film. I think Moore was out-of-line when he attacked Chuck Heston and exploited those kids.

Well, I've just finished watching "Fahrenheit 9/11" and I must say that it's a significant improvement from "Bowling For Columbine". Moore let's his facts speak for themselves instead of relying on implications and doubletalk. However, there are a number of scenes in the film where he shows footage of dead American soldiers and Iraqi civilians (many of them children). He showed a lot of emotion-charged images between topics of discussion like that and they seemed very exploitive, especially since he shows these images over a long period of time. Also, there's nothing in the film that you can't hear anywhere else online (such as moveon.org). My overall reaction; meh...
I'd give it about a 3 out of 5.

How can you be disgusted by something that you have never experieced, or know for a fact?
Personally I'm disgusted that the germans were killing off their own in WW1 (as well as 2).
I'm Disgusted that the Spanish bombed the Maine
I'm Disgusted that Hitler is Alive
That Half of Hollywood, in the 50's, was communist
And that you have 7 toes on each foot.
See how ignorant it seems... If you are gonna complain SEE the movie (feel free to download it if you don't want to support it), find the "lies" and then post an intellegent response.

Well put... Nobody can't say this movie is lies until it's been seen, or any other material infact.

What'd you think of Roger & Me?
Personally I liked Bowling, exploitive or not. I don't particularly like Heston, didn't think he was unfairly attacked, etc.

How many innocent people died because of the war with Iraq?
Please dont give me any crap about going in for Bin Laden. He was never there, nor were the WMDs.

Don't ever try to tell people what to do. You 'beg' people, do you? I'm sure there are many people who agree with you. But a comment like the above is something that would have people flocking to the cinemas. And as for the title of this thread, Ban Farenheit 9/11? That's a sure way to guarantee the success of the movie. Try to cover it up and it will arouse everybody's interest. And by the way, what about freedom of speech?

Actually, he was right. 3,000 died in the WTC - but an additional 290,000 died due to crippling economic conditions around the world due to starvation. And while G Bush only is partly to blame, as are all members of the WTO, they are to blame.
Did you realize, that if we spent all the resources that were used to sell us stuff we dont want or need in this country (ie Ads) on the American people, not a single person would be homeless or hungry?
If we took half of our military buget and pumped it into our people's welfare, NOONE would be required to work more than 20 hours a week to pay their bills?
so I stand by the (probably - I'll admit misquoted) number.

Campaigning for a boycott is one thing, but suggesting that the film should be banned is ridiculous. There is a little thing called freedom of speech.

You people are ridiculous. Moore was encouraging kids to see it, even sneak in to the theater if necessary. When a lot of people are paying for one movie, then sneaking into another, Michael Moore makes no money.
He also did a huge number of charity viewings. He isn't looking for money; he's looking for the truth on Bush to be heard.
You cannot say that his facts are inaccurate unless you know what those facts are. To know that, you need to see the movie.
If Moore's facts were wrong, it would be brought up on TV or in the news. I don't mean some conservative blabbering about how Moore is lying, I mean specific details. Nobody has ever taken ONE piece of information from the movie and proven it false.

I second that. I am willing to watch and read things from a conservative view, and I believe that conservatives should open their minds and watch Fareinheit 9/11.

I've seen numbers somewhere that showed that if each country would combine their annual military budget, we could feed the planet for 10 years, or something like that. I'll go check again. Makes you think anyway. If we weren't so paranoiac maybe we wouldn't have so many problems on this planet...

I've always been a big fan of having a powerful standing military. Its a good deterrant from attacks by other countries. Plus the military creates a lot of jobs, not only the people serving in the military, but the military basically are the financial backbone to a lot of towns <Oceanside, CA for example>. And there are a lot of civillians that work for the DoD that wouldn't have a job if you cut the military too much, which creates more unemployment.
But on the otherhand so much of our budget is wasted. I work at a tech shop for the Marines, we fix pretty much all of the communications equipment on the west coast for the Marines, and companies like Raytheon which charged us $300.00 to replace a $2.00 knob on a radio because it was under warrenty, and $800.00 to replace a $0.75 screen that takes us 15 minutes to do because of warrenty repairs. Then we have one company that charges us $25.00 for a screw that is about 3 or 4 inches long, yet a screw with the exact same threading but is under half the size is $70.00, and it uses 4 of the $70.00 screws. I went to Home Depot and found screws that work just as good for about $0.20 - $0.50 a screw. The the Harris Corperation <sp> isn't any better with their radios and overcharging us on parts. The government could very easily reduce the Military budget without decreasing the size and readiness of the military if they would just audit these companies and see hwo they are overcharging us so much. I'm sure on most other things the same thing is happening.

There are theorys that all the extra money on these things goes for funding things we aren't supposed to know about. I tend to think they would come up with something more clever but it's that way of thinking that would allow such a system. Before helicopters drop by my house at midnight, no I don't believe that that myself

But we already know what that bastard did, and, I mean i'd rather have Bush cheating on his wife than killing thousands.
And by the way, you americans should be glad that he has the balls to tell the truth and defiy (sp?) the president.
