Drank Tea From a Lightbulb

Drank Tea From a Lightbulb 2017-09-17 14:58:25

I was asked what I wanted to drink my bubble tea from yesterday.

Why did it take the human race this long to figure out we should be drinking out of objects that we have used for other reasons. Cups have no purpose other than to be a cup, but a ton of things can be used as a cup! In fact, why bowls and plates, forks and spoons? Let's simplify life.

Make the right choice. Drink from a lightbulb. What else could we be using? The possibilities are endless.

(Picture taken low to ground so you could kind of see the light)

Cool. I'd like a tequila light bulb myself.

I probably would never do anything like this myself, but that is really cool. I love seeing things being re-purposed for other uses.

You two have jokes huh?

In all seriousness it was huge, three to four times bigger than a normal bulb and obviously made specifically for drinking out of. It's going to be my office mug from here on out.

Just right place, right time, right user, I guess.

So you didn't inject a real lightbulb with liquid? I feel a bit disappointed.

Yeah, I had seen these advertised on facebook and whatnot and for some reason assumed they were a real light bulb. When I saw that they were just light bulb shaped bottles with LED lights in them I was disappointed as well.

I'd hardly call the cashier at the bubble tea store my friend. It's the first time I ever met them.

You must be thinking of compact fluorescent (curly) bulbs, which contain mercury and rare earth elements.

The only thing in incandescent (regular) bulbs that could be toxic is the solder at the base, which in older bulbs could contain lead.

Ahh, well either way lead is something you probably should drink from.

Well, I did misread it the first couple of times.

But after that I just wasn't sure.

it must be either a plastic bulb or a modified glass one

Probably one of those plastic, LED string filament bulbs you can find at a dollar store.

It's at a weird angle in the picture. It's a pretty large container. It holds more liquid than your standard 20oz bottle of soda.
