For fuck's sake, let this asshole just die out, okay? I'm very surprised to see him mentioned here on NG.

He spent about a year sponging off YouTube stars, and then caused his own cascade of calamities.

There's a part of me that just thinks we should dare them to actually make good on their threats. Even a leader as crazy as Kim Jong Un has to know that the minute he launches a nuke at us his country will be wiped off the face of the Earth. At the same time his regime's continued existence depends largely on nuclear weapons. If it became obvious that they never intended to use them on the US their deterrent quality would be much less. It would be a hell of a risk though.

I would say that North Korea won't execute a first strike. They have little to gain. My guess is that KJU will attempt to trade his weapons program for something at some point in the future.

Ok then, how do you explain our alliance with South Korea and Japan? We really don't give a shit about North Korea aside from the nuclear weapons rigmarole. Never mind that Kim Jung Un has his fatass hands on the nuclear trigger and playing chicken with the ROK and Japan for so long, while China has done little to cut them off even after numerous promises to do so.

Furthermore, why would we get involved with the China-India dust-up that will eventually peter out like it always has?

Last time I checked, it was the USA sticking her nose into North Korea, not the other way around. I don't like this North Korean government one bit but enough with the chivalry bullshit. You don't give a flying rat's ass about Koreans or Japanese or any of them for that matter and you're not fooling anyone but yourself. Hypocrisy and self-deception are symptoms of the self-loathing character. This is all about interests and competition for natural resources, strategical locations and political pressure cards. How many nukes has NK actually used and how many the US? Exactly.

So you disregard the fact that North Korea has been active trying to destabilize and threaten South Korea, Japan and even China for decades, while China has done little to control their useless buffer state? Not that we didn't ignore them before when the Soviets and Chinese were propping them up until the 90's, but now that they are a global pariah with nukes, it's now our business.

I don't like this North Korean government one bit but enough with the chivalry bullshit. You don't give a flying rat's ass about Koreans or Japanese or any of them for that matter and you're not fooling anyone but yourself.

Riddle me this, if we don't care for the East Asians, how come we give them billions in military aid and we have bases there in the first place? To keep Korean Eric Cartman from invading the ROK unapposed and keep China in check. Yeah, this does involve a lot of cultural posturing between the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans dating back centuries, but with nukes from a rogue nation? It would be irresponsible of us not to keep the DPRK on their side of the DMZ.

Hypocrisy and self-deception are symptoms of the self-loathing character. This is all about interests and competition for natural resources, strategical locations and political pressure cards. How many nukes has NK actually used and how many the US? Exactly.

Irrelevant point is irrelevant, but to counter that statement, the two atomic weapons we used on Japan was during war when they wouldn't stop murdering people, (including their own) whereas North Korea views everyone around them as mangy dogs who deserve to die and the only reason they haven't pulled the trigger yet is because everyone them would whup their sorry asses back to the Stone Age.

If I didn't know any better, you're either read too much North Korean propaganda, or just simply ignorant, I'm willing to go towards the latter in this case.

I doubt how many would really have used them if the USA had actually did an invasion of Tojo land, although, I can't dispute the foresight that it would have still have been a costly endeavour, and the US military already having suffered enough casualties as it is, you couldn't really justify more american casualties over a less deadly solution to the american forces, but hell, its not like the US military didn't learn anything from their war in the pacific and improve their strategy and skills, whats finally putting down one last island going to cost?

(of course, those same strategy and skills learned from the second world war were put to good use in the Korean war)

At the cost of modern Japanese imperialists/nationalists/supremacists who believe in Japanese superiority over other inferior peoples, and could only be put down by nuclear destruction? I don't even know if they exist, but I'd certainly wouldn't be surprised

look at any one of the recent incursions by the USA the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan for example seem to show having foreign troops running around seems to inflame tensions and brings more people to the nationalist cause i see no reason why that wouldn't have happened in Japan... it was going to be a very long and bloody affair no matter what happened...

No, I don't disregard anything, what I'm saying is, in case you misunderstood, is that all nations are both corrupt and looking after their own interests, including both NK and US, only difference is that NK acts on a regional scale whereas the US on a global scale, do you actually think US direct and proxy wars today are for charity and for saving people? How many Iraqis and Afghans died thanks to the lovely peace keepers and how many died during corrupt Socialist rule? I say Afghanistan was much better off with its puppet corrupt but stable Soviet government than with American-supported Mujahideen or Taliban Islamists, that's just one example and don't make me laugh with the "US is fighting Taliban" because that's just ridiculous not only because they supported the movement from the beginning but also because after 16 years of fighting US and other Nato troops, Taliban should not be booming enough to send more terrorists outside Afghanistan.

Riddle me this, if we don't care...

No, you don't care, you are looking after your own interests by investing in nations that contribute to your power and influence globally, which is a very smart thing to do, but by all means not charitable. These nations also act as military bases to put pressure on competitors, such as China and Russia. It's an investment, nothing more. The propensity to dress yourself up as the good Samaritan is just part of the show, everybody does it, everybody knows it, except the inexperienced and naive of course.

Irrelevant point is irrelevant, but to counter...

Yes, it was the best thing to do, I personally would have nuked Japan with 200 more Fatmen just for the Nanking massacre, that's not what I was getting at. I was making a point that NK has never used an atomic bomb anywhere.

North Korea views everyone around them as mangy dogs...

NK is an extremely closed society, they don't view anyone, they don't give a fuck about the world outside NK except when the oppressive regime is threatened in any way. Socialist oppressive regimes are very stable, unlike Democratic/Liberal systems who can't seem to get enough war. I stopped counting the number of wars started by the US a long time ago, but I can't seem to remember any war NK has even been a part of, except the first one. Assumptions are meaningless, NK actually can cause an awful lot of damage in the region to US interests and allies regardless of the outcome but they haven't and they've made it clear they aren't going to unless forced into it, meanwhile the peaceful US has destroyed or partially destroyed how many countries? Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Somalia, how many?

If I didn't know any better, you're either read too much North Korean propaganda, or just simply ignorant, I'm willing to go towards the latter in this case.

I think you've been fed too much of your own propaganda that you think every nation around the world is a crazy war machine just waiting to pounce on your ass when your own country has the highest number of military bases around the world and has done more acts of provocation than anyone else by far, since after WW2 speaking obviously.

Now don't get me wrong, US fought on the right side in WW2 and has done the world a great favor by being one of the 3 super powers that ended Fascist reign, however, if this warmongering keeps up you will become the Fascist yourself.
