No, I don't eat sushi. Matter of fact, I don't like seafood in general.

Fresh caught mountain trout, okay.

I'd rather have steak tartar, made from filet mignon.

Or just a big, rare, very rare steak of any cut.

I keep seeing post about gas station sushi. None of my gas stations have it! Yall must have some upper class rich gas stations around you. All I can get at my local hilbilly gas stations are decongestants.

I think the reason for this may be that gas stations in Louisiana already have proper seafood selections, such as shrimp poboys, and as such could not possibly be improved by being wrapped in seaweed.

Sure, you can't get sushi in one, but you can send money orders, have your phone turned on, buy a school uniform, a fidget spinner, and a fifth Jack Daniels.

There's a place where I live called Oishi and my favorite rolls from there are the Titanic roll and the Oishi roll. The titanic roll is crab and cream cheese and its about an inch and a half thick. The oishi roll has tuna and something else in it and its fried in a tempura batter. They're fantastic.

I'm not picky about sushi as long as it doesn't get me sick. I'll eat it all.

I can't do tartar, but I do like my steak pretty rare

Playa you know the only place to handle money orders is WalMart.

I love ANYTHING fried in tempura batter. But I'm trying to eat less fried food. :-(

Some of those specialty rolls with a ton of ingredients that sushi places near me make are so big that they're hard to eat. They look pretty, but if I'm being honest there are so many flavors competing for my attention that I really can't taste them all.

Agreed. I don't order the huge rolls.

Or those couples that come in and order those huge platters with like 100 rolls.

How the hell are they eating that??

I dislike the California roll with a passion. It's the least sushi like sushi that I can imagine. :P

Really anything with eel in it is my preference, but I literally love any type. I'd even eat the ones that I don't necessarily care for over another food choice. I could literally eat it every day of the week. If we go out if and I'm not at least 7 rolls in I'm not satisfied.

There's a Sushi buffet, a good one, where I live now and I once went with a friend with the stated intention of trying every single sushi. We got through about half and gave up when we felt like we were going to bust. That said, if you want to find out how different types of sushi taste without having to order a whole plate they're a good way to sample.

I don't think we have any local sushi buffets. Chinese food yes, but not sushi.

I didn't know sushi was a Chinese dish.
I've had someone's homemade sushi before.
It was okay but I guess it wasn't like authentic or anything.
The Kobe style sushi looks great though.

Well no, sushi originated in Japan. I just mentioned Chinese food because most places don't have legit Japanese restaurants.
The last time I had sushi at an actual Japanese restaurant, I was in DC.

I think alligator tastes like a cross between fried chicken and a pork chop.

I'm gonna get yall to try boudin too.

Don't google it.....or you won't eat it......but I promise it's good.

Two big breakfasts down here
1. Beignets and coffee
Or
2. Boudin and coke
