theres so many soundfont players that are free anyways, no?
you are right there many good SFZ players like sforzando is free.
I'm not sure what their sampling is like. And I get wary about it too, because the last time I tried a free SF2 player, all when testing FL 12... I tried DSK SF2, for example. Everyone knows that I swear by my Akai Steinway SF2 for piano and have not found anything better personally...
This is what it sounds like on Fruity Soundfont Player; this is what it sounds like on DSK SF2.
Notice how they sound completely and utterly different.
I think you're used to what you're used to, and if I'd found anything else that worked the same as Fruity did, I'd be happy -- but I sure as hell wasn't when they removed Fruity Soundfont Player off the x64 version. What irked me even more was that the x86 version had to be searched from within your C:/ directory, as opposed to it appearing straight on your Start menu once you'd installed it, like in previous versions. It's like they got lazy -- oh wait, they probably did.
