Blizzard is famous for WOW, but an not well known gem from them is Jade Empire, great music that sets the tone like WOW.
They're probably not known for Jade Empire because that's a Bioware game.
I don't play Nintendo games as much as I used to, but I at least respect the company for being different and trying unique ideas even if their ability to adapt to the modern era of gaming after the Wii's surprise success can only be charitably described as a mixed bag. I guess part of me still really caring about Nintendo is just nostalgia.
I dig FromSoftware and I'm super-excited for whatever the announce at E3 but like a lot of Johnny-come-latelys I've only played the SoulsBorne games so take that for what you will.
Can't really think of more companies I'm stoked about. Don't know if that's because I'm more open to different games now or if I've just become more jaded.

edit: Bethesda is more like a publisher tbh
They're kind of like both that exist as seperate entities under the same flag. You have both Bethesda Games Studio, which makes the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games and Bethesda Softworks which publishes games. And to make things more complicated they're both subsidiaries of Zenimax which is like the evil entity that's behind the copyright lawsuits and royalty shenanigans that get associated with Bethesda.
