There are no song length limits on either side. Do whatever inspires you. If you want to submit a 15 second piece, you can, but people probably won't vote it very well.

(if someone submits a 2 hour long piece i MAY adjust this rule)

Yes, that's right! i'm not sure if it's going to be every week or every other week at this point, but if everyone is that hyped for an every-week contest, I'll totally do it.

Not only are they encouraged - participants are the ONLY judges, and if you don't vote, you won't get the feedback that everyone else gave on your song. It's either going to be done by PMs or, if I have time, I will write up a little webpage to collate the songs and scores.

Yep, this Wednesday! (I'm probably going to adjust it to be weekend to weekend from NGCHIPS II onwards.)

The theme and everything will be posted in a new spam hype thread where we can talk about our pieces and stuff. (There will be no submission thread because everything will simply be PMed to me!) I'll tag everyone who was interested in this thread so they know about it!

Yeah, great question! I'll be posting the details of how submissions will work on the main thread tomorrow, but the short of it is that you'll upload the track somewhere in secret, and I will download it and then put every track on a website somewhere.

I promised to start the compo 10 hours ago about 10 hours ago, but I realized that that wouldn't make sense time-zone-wise for anyone except for me. So I'll be starting it at midnight EST, which is a timezone more people understand :)

As I'm completely new to uploading my music online, I was wondering what the best place to do this would be? Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc? (if I'm understanding this correctly)
I've never uploaded anything to Newgrounds yet, so I figure what better way to get my feet wet than by diving right into a contest?

I'm definitely interested in doing a few of these week contests. I'd put my hat in the ring for this one but I'm moving this week so I doubt I could get anything competent out in time.
