One is happening here now.
They are my favorite thing.
Do you love thunderstorms? Enjoy them? Hate them? Have @zornuzkull (apathetic) feelings about thunderstorms?
Have you ever had a pet that was afraid of thunderstorms?

I love gloomy weather in general.
Rain accompanied by thunder is quite soothing, more so when you can hear each drop hit the earth.
The sky was red earlier and now it's pitch black
I'm not scared of thunder
I am scared of the dark though
i like/hate them. they're great usually, cept when i'm sleeping and the whole house is shaking.
i had a dog that feared them, also fireworks. he ran away once when old, got chewed up by someone else' dog, was returned to me by animal control.
a few weeks ago, a friend's puppy ran away. we ended up walking around in the woods at night, 40 degrees, rain, fun fun fun. dog came back, all is well.
I love strong storms. I'm talking leveling a 3rd world village strong. It's relaxing and makes me feel more snug inside my warm suburban home. I also love them best at night. It's somehow soothing when utter hell breaks loose outside.
We get them up here in NE ohio pretty often. Unfortunately, they have a tendency to breed tornadoes.

cool story bro
Actually, not all of us are rednecks. I would say maybe the southern half of the state and a few patches here and there.

A thunderstorm in the distance is nice. When it's on top of you, it sucks. Mainly because my power goes out at the drop of a hat. Doesn't help that it seems that every fourth storm or so, some asshat panics and drives into a pole. Stupid humans.
My cat used to be afraid of thunder, but I think she just got old enough where she don't give a fuck anymore. She does slink about the house as low to the ground as she can get, though.

damn all i want in life is to be cool
Rain? Yeah. Thunderstorms? HELL YEAH!!
Pretty much sums up how I feel about them. It rarely rains here in the country I'm living in, so every rainfall is like receiving a birthday gift.
There are raindrops hitting my rooftop and flashes of lightening coming in through the window. I called off work. I think the doctor gave me too many prescriptions
I love them as well. We hardly ever get lightning here in San Jose let alone a full thunderstorm. I think they're pretty. They can be scary too but the adrenaline rush makes the experience of a thunderstorm even better. Having said that, I could do without the property damage that tends to follow the more severe ones.
