I came across this short, adventure, fantasy film on Netflix and I loved every minute of watching it.

It's 15 minutes and some seconds long.

It's #1 on the list of 1,001 movies you should see before you die

Here it is

do drugs (or don't) and watch it

As for the movie itself, I watched it in a film studies class longer ago than I like to admit. It's an enduring example of what imagination can do in spite of resources.

I have nothing against people who can use pot and lead a productive life. It's these sanctimonius hippies that make me wish I was a riot cop in the 60's

That's the one...

Melan chollie and the Infinite Sadness was an inexplicable album when I was in highschool. I'm old.

Yeah its definitely something unique thats for sure...

Well as rudimentary as it is, there's a reason. The very act of film making was being invented on screen. And being French, they made sure it was beautiful.

Years back this was the only video I had on my phone. I would watch the genius out of it while eating and or during a commute like I'm addicted to it. it calms me. The director, Mr Georges Méliès, is one of the pioneers of sci-fi filmmaking. Unfortunately, most of his works are now missing and or at the state of being unrecoverable. There was still no green screen back then but all the shit that runs through his mind is enough to entertain people. Also, the idea of sending men to the moon with his rocket was considered deeply surreal back then but came 1969.

Try watching Hugo film. it's about him and his works.

I wouldn't really know I'm more of a metal head... Mushy songs don't really appeal to me very often...

I'm just gonna leave this here.

That's the same reason I get pissed when people say video games from 20+ years ago looked like shit or weren't fun; we had to use this thing called imagination back in the day folks before we had gHz processors.

I have never seen a movie without sound that I like. This is interesting.

I recall having to watch that in one of my art history classes and analyzing parts of it. Was interesting, and I still think that was pretty decent animation for that time period

Are you not Entertained ?!?
