Does anyone know any good songs of any genre, they just have to be good. Thanx
Anything by Billy Talent, Sublime, or The Lost Prophets.
Just put Slipknot on and headbeng on your desk, that would help.
If you really need someone else's opinion on good music I suggest that you kill yourself now.
The Offpsring is the greatest thing on the face of the earth.
Why don't you listen to some older thrash? That always makes for a fun time... Anthrax, Dark Angel, Slayer, Sodom, Kreator...

id help buy you list the offspring, Linken Park and Metallica as your favorite bands in your profile so I consider you somewhat of a lost cause as far as 'good' music...you're best bet is to buy Hendrix - Electric Ladyland that was suggested earlier. Ignore the other posts...they dont know what theyre talking about...it takes a worthy opponent to match the talents of Jimi...

no it was called for...i mean come on...you cant actually believe that the offspring are in any way better than Jimi Hendrix?! System of a Down...no, Slipknot...no, Linken Park....nope....
there are arguments to be made for others...but in 40 years none of the other suggestions will be talked about...Jimi will be...
George Clinton and P.Funk-Play that funky music whiteboy
Anything by Foo Fighters. All their songs are good.
Rehab-sittin in a bar
Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Elliot Smith, Damien Rice, Muse, Aphex Twin, Square Pusher, Autechre, Mix Master Mike, DJ Qbert, Beastie Boys, and let us not forget Queen...

Actually, they're both shit. Its the truth.
System of a Down...no, Slipknot...no, Linken Park....nope....
Agreed.

Dead. and forgotten.
Would Sir like a cult classic? I recommend the hard-to-find-but-absolutely-kick-ass "Back to Mad" by Texas Faggott.
Who? The band who made the music for "Rockman Neo". That is enough.
pink floyd - dark side of the moon. go "buy" it now.
Mr. Self Destruct by Nine Inch Nails. In fact, go pick up The Downward Spiral album. You will be happy.

yea hes really forgotten...thats why he still graces the cover of respected music magazines till this day and has a major motion picture coming about him...dead - yes...forgotten...nope...you obviosuly remember him enough to discuss him...

Way to suggestion an album to buy that is hard to find...real genius there...I could get into some small bands that I think are great...but given the musical favorites of the one asking for them...it would be fruitless...

Actually that was my main reason for this topic, see over time I began to like other bands, I like a few Coldplay, aLOT of Godsmack, and little bit of Adema and Korn.
So by all means tell me those bands.
well if you like hip hop, i cant rell you a thing becuase i dont know a thing, but if you like old rock and roll, i suggest you listen to "The Darkness" there a new band that plays old rock and roll, i actually like them, and if you like metal, slipknot, coal chamber, mudvayne, and just search nu-metal on the internet

Then a couple of these would be great:
The Oblivians - Memphis punk/blues trio that could have taken over the world. Their live album is REALLY loud and really rough...but if you want good rock and roll then go with Popular Favorites or the Sympathy Sessions discs...
The Cramps - one of the greateset bands of all time. Lux sounds like the bastard son of Elvis Presely and Vincent Price...great 80's B-horror lyrics mixed with some tight riffs. Try the album Bad Music For Bad People...
Blacktop - probably Mick Collins greatest band...hes currently in the Dirtbombs, but Blanche had some solid song writing and great riffs. His voice is a bit shot due to some health issues but the soul of this man cant be held down
Immortal Lee County Killers - 1 part delta blues, 1 part loud ass punk...1 part balls to the wall noise explosion...(good what a cliched description)...but anyway these guys are really good
The Hunches - If you think the Velvet Underground is for pussies then this is a band for you...not to be listened to when hungover.
I'm not really into punk much.
If you like heavy metal, here are some good bands:
Black Sabbath
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Megadeth
If you're into classic rock:
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Queen
Progressive Rock and/or Progressive Metal:
Yes
Dream Theater
Symphony X
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer
and of course Hendrix.
Metallica is the best band ever, no question about it. And their best album is "Kill 'em all"
Well since I like the topic of music I shall suggest bands and their albums you should purchase:
Metallica:
Kill Em All, Ride The Lightning, Master of Puppets, And Justice For All, Metallica (or the black album), Live Shit: Binge and Purge Boxset
Black Sabbath:
Anything in the days when Ozzy was in the band, they started to suck after they fired him. If you're a stranger to them i suggest gettin the greatest hits as its fucking mint
Slayer:
Show No Mercy, Reign In Blood (Absolute essential this is), South Of Heaven, Seasons In The Abyss, God Hates Us All
Slipknot:
Vol 3: The Subliminal Verses
Korn:
Just wait til the greatest hits comes out
Queens Of The Stone Age:
Songs For The Deaf
Nirvana:
Nevermind or the greatest hits
I hope this has been helpful
Try The Caesars : Jerk it out
Crystal Method : Born too slow and
Audio Bullys : We don't care
Incubus:
S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Morning View and Crow Left Of The Murder
yo might aswell just go to a music shop and buy the 1st thing you see, or just run past the shelf, grab at something and buy that. everyone has different tastes and it is a matter of personal opinion. so there was no point an asking the question, because you're got answers ranging from Jimi Hendrix (god) to Slipknot (crap)
so make up your own mind
