I'm 15 years old now and I've been thinking for 2 months about how I'm gonna have to leave my mom after she raised me for so long. She thinks I'm faking it but I feel horrible knowing that I'll have to leave her soon. I was crying earlier at the thought of having to say goodbye and now I'm crying again. Don't assume I'm looking for attention because that's not what I want. I just wanna know what it's like to be an adult. Does it get harder or better?

In a nutshell, I'm constantly thinking about when I have to go back to work, and how much weed 'n alcohol I can take in before then.

I like to think of it as being a kid, but suddenly you have all these responsibilities that you didn't have to worry about before. Getting a job, paying your bills, raising a family if you're into that, ect. Or you can forfeit all that and laugh at fart jokes and drink beer with your friends, while getting your dick sucked simultaneously.

I was only an adult on paper when I turned 18.

Still lived with my parents, played video games (which I still do) and rode my bike to school.

It wasn't until soon after turning 21 that I got a boyfriend, moved out, and got a job - All within just weeks of each other.

Ensure a constant (if inconsistent) income. Pay your bills. Sign documents. That's adulthood.

It's not that things get easier, it's just that you're forced to accept that they will inevitably get worse. So live it up while you're able and regale your grandchildren about tales of "trees" and "fish" before they're harvested by the morlocks.

It all depends on how good you're doing in your life. Know this and note this - now, when you still have support of your parent(s), you should use this time to your adventage and prepare yourself for the fucking future and I mean the vault-tec style. Prepare yourself for armagedon of taxes, responsibilities, law and health issues that will grow over time.

While you still have lots of spare time after school try to find something you will like doing for life. Something entertaining or something that gives you lots of satisfaction at some point, whilst something useful, something people would pay you for. Having a job that you're good at is a key, and you will be good at things, that you don't force yourself to do. If you do have a passion and it makes sense (if you're not sure - ask your parents or lots of adult people and get the general idea. Ask them anyway even if you're sure, you could be wrong about it at this point), then try to get good at it, try to get experience. Think of passive income at this point, but don't invest actual money until you will be able to earn it.

And if you will be okay financially, then life will be okay. You will be able to actually have enjoyable free time and not to worry if you can order a fucking pizza this month.

I don't know your reasoning for wanting to leave home, but leaving at the age you are is a very bad idea. At fifteen it's going to be near impossible to find a full time job that will pay enough to support yourself. Not to mention, there's no way you'll be able to balance school and work. The modern world unfortunately doesn't hold many opportunities without college education.
