Mega Man 1-6 are now available on IOS and Android. These ports run horribly and sound even worse. Has anybody actually played them? If so, what did you think?

I agree with you. The music was excellent on them, and the port totally ruined all the tunes.

I can't abide any game featuring a touch-screen controller interface. Platformers are probably my favorite type of game, but I avoid them like the plague on mobile.

That's kinda ridiculous that Capcom can't get an NES-era game to not run choppily on a machine with lord knows how many thousands of times the computing power.

The whole idea was a pretty bad one anyway. Touchscreen controls for a platformer? Specifically Mega Man? No thank you. You just can't get the precision you need, and with the Mega Man games you need to be precise and on your game.

It's pretty amazing that they couldn't get them to run properly. That basically just shows they didn't even try.

I totally agree with you. It will not work with Mega Man games.

The file is very small, and runs great on my old laptop computer.

If I remember well, this collection was designed to include slowdowns and sprite flickers for nostalgia.

Dunno about the mobile ports.

The cynic in me thinks this was done intentionally to spite Inafune. Capcom has been mistreating Megaman for over half a decade now. Why they won't just abandon him is beyond me.

This was either a cash grab, or they put no effort into it.

Somebody should be fired over it.

I never understood the appeal of playing these types of games on a phone. A game like Mega Man that requires precision timing should not be played on a touch screen. Even simplistic games like Pac-Man feel weird on a phone.

That is true, but they really messed up MegaMan. People should avoid it.

The fact that you can run them decently on an emulator makes me think that Capcom is trying to do a quick cash in, just like they do with a lot of ports.

Still better than Might No.9.

When Capcom revives Megaman Universe and Megaman Legends 3 and puts better effort in their mobile ports.

yet there was a whole decade of megaman games, like 2 titles coming out each year during 2000-2010

there are other capcom titles that didn't even deserve to die like the Maximo series or Breath of Fire. The whole "mistreating megaman" shit is so blown out of proportion.

I understand the megaman legends outrage, but this is ridiculous

They did do a very poor job. Capcom does not want you to use one. They want your money.

They screwed up this one game, but new Megaman games are still fun.
