You really shouldn't take everything that people put on the Internet so seriously, but I guess the "progressives" don't consider things like context or sarcasm to be important, which leads to this point. There is nothing wrong with progressivism in itself, but when they shove it down our throats without so much as honest critique or different viewpoint, it's no wonder why there is such backlash against progressives.

It also doesn't help that a lot of them are either too naive for their own good, or short-sighted enough that getting an executive position would automatically mean everything will go as planned, not realizing that there is the other side of the political spectrum.

serious or not it is very important for the disadvantaged to spread their cause any way they can. Yes, the internet is less serious but that doesn't change the importance of progress

Yep, it seems everybody is blaming the year instead of their shitty life. It's so annoying seeing people complain about 2016, I experience these people in the internet and in real life.
