This is the first time I ever participate in anything like this, so take it easy on me, please :D. This will also be my first full digital drawing with colors and all that fancy stuff. I used to draw when I was a kid and stopped, started again when I was around 12-13, then stopped again and now I started before this Christmas, so I am pretty unexperienced and a bit rusty.

The anatomy and proportions seem a bit off to me, especially because I had to use myself as reference...and since I am a woman, I obviously cannot look like a man haha so I had to improvise. This took me a whole day (first body made yesterday and second today). I am not sure what to put in the background. I wanted to have some chaotic scene with buildings burning and smoke all over the sky, but I suck at drawing that and my mind just fails to put it down on paper in the right perspective T_T.

Also, great works posted by the others! Hope my end result would be nice enough for me to like it haha.

New here, but I figured maybe I'll give this a go. Nervous!

Here's my WIP image, rough sketch of the character and weapon. If things look fuzzy or weird, it's because I use an app on my phone to draw and it doesn't allow for the best resolution.

Most of the time the unscouted section has much more pieces. The scouted people are fewer in number and useually take more time. There will be some popping up around the weekend and beyond.

Decided to go for Comics panels to tell the story of a lost temple housing an Ancient Axe and the intrespid explorers who are trying to find it.
Not sure on the actual design for the characters... I do keep going back to steampunk, so it will probably be that.

Updato potato! still not at the coloring phase but thought i would show you guys where i'm at so far, need to add a bit more to the Axe as well as retopologize and texture paint the dude. still got an entire background left to do!

Dunno if this helps ya but i raytraced some base meshes in your scene. that block in the background is the moon btw.

I did but it says I'm unscouted. I even the tag legendaryaxe. I mean I don't know if there's a space between legendary and axe so I just typed it as 1 word.

My WIP for now.... I'ts my first time joining the COTM but gonna push my luck and join the Open Category lels. Best of luck to all of us!

Oh and may I ask a Question? Is the Axe's name "OTHOG"? Or am I just stupid? lel

Another little update on the progress.. My phone died, so having to pause the work for the next few hours while it charges again. Haha.

Any suggestions? Anything look odd with the body that might need a fix? (besides needing to finish the feet!)

Alright, change of plans. My first idea was a bit (a lot) too much for my skills, so I went with a portrait. Pretty happy with the pose and the proportions so far! :)

Dunno if i'm even allowed to do this buuuut given the fact that i cant compete since i'm a 3D modeller (About to rosa parks the hell outta this!) i thought i might as well make myself useful and help some people with their pieces (BTW message me if ya need it, i'm not great at 2D but if you need some anatomical help like in this piece then go for it.)

still just a work in progress keep giving your opinions I love them and lets see if you can spot the Easter eggs hidden in the piece :P
also tell me if I should keep the soldiers or do something else because I am not sure I want them. p.s the soldiers are temporarily copied from the internet just so I could see how they look I didn't draw the soldiers myself but I will if I decide to keep them

Defo not the greatest when it comes to back muscles but here's some things you can do to improve both the perspective and anatomy of your piece.

First i moved the arm down a bit as your proportions were stretching to fit your anatomy, i also detailed some of the different back muscle groups for you so when you go to lay down the clothing make sure to follow the muscle guides as well, also fixed some of the perspective issues with the background and took the liberty of changing the pod design.
