This is a revision. I think I'm gonna go with this one, I just need to tweak it a little, clean it up, ink it and color it. The deadline is the 21st right?

Just a small sketch of my idea. This is the first time I've done anything like this so any advice or constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.
some sketches that I did for the contest. I still need to figure it out which is the best among of them.

This is just what i have so far. Painting using Mombay india ink. First time entering the COTM!

This is my sketch! [P.S. please do not copy, Thanks]
This is my first challenge as well and I only had time for some scribbles and a perspective sketch for the axe so far.
Theresa are some really nice ideas online already.
Looking forward to a Lot more. :)
Everybodies work is so difrent, nice!
This is the finalized design of Daniel axium without colour, I also included a pose sheet and a couple other rejected designs, the final version will be posted as a speedpaint on my channel as well as submited to the competition as a jpeg
four rough thumbnails ideas. since the axe is so legendary people are longing to get their hands on it like smeargle and the ring 'me wants it" but only the strong and worthy are able to weld it glowing power it possess. I have my story idea just need to lay down what the backgroung scene and the style

You seriously need to move the head closer to his shoulder. It's really distracting.

Thanks, still working on the details and just realised that the Axe needs to be bigger ^_^

Really like the detail on this, the left wrist is a little off though. I think you should straighten the wrist to give the tool some weight.
Not sure if I'll join the this Challenge as i can't think on how to continue this WIP
as i'm stuck
also please don't copy my work.thank you
I'm not sure what category to go into (grade 12, took art for 2 years (total time, not including breaks in-between))
I'm finishing up the Lore for this character (A badass robot. I called him "Kiua")
Explaining smaller details:
- The smaller axe is being driven into a high-tech platinum sheild (holder to be imagined/created)
- Kiua is pushing off a tree with such a force that it rips into the tree (with flying splinters and everything)
- The scene is located in a forested area, with large trees spread out ~2 tree widths apart
- Yes, the circle in the center of Kiua's head is his 'eye' (lore will explain later)
- The indents on the side of Kiua's head are openings for a buncha sensors
(for the sake of simplicity, refer to Kiua as male, even though 'he' is genderless (being a robot and everything)
Saw the challenge video yesterday and couldn't think of anything else so here's my WIP so far

So far I love the concept.
It would benefit you a lot to work more on the perspective since right now is inconsistent (you still have time, there are great tutorials out there). Also, try to do the background first (don't over do it, it doesn't need a lot of detail since is not the focus)
Keep up the good work!
Not sure if I should give this a shot and make a digital version
Sorry my camera isn't verry good I'll be getting a new one before the piece is finished

The perspective is better now [I think], And the backround is looking way better now. On the finished piece,
the main Objects will pop out a lot. Also, I'm thinking of should I do the counter lines in the backround back, or leave them with out them like here :/
Thanks for the your input :)
