I did the hustle and passed out my book at the Baltimore Comic Con. Gave it to retailers and publishers. The publishers were there to promote their works, so they really weren't interested. I called some of the retailers that I passed the book out to, but they said that it's didn't fit their clientele. No one said that it sucked thought, so that's a positive. One person called it "violence port", but there isn't any pornography!

My book is quite violent, but it's not violent to shock. The violence helps to move the story along. The book is for a niche audience that is interested in alternative comic books.

I've self published my comic book and it's for sale. Magazine size - Glossy - 84 pages which includes 20 extra pages of behind the scenes and one extra does of karma. Violent - Mature Readers.

I'll be updated my pages of the book here until the kickstarter campaign is done on November 29th 2016. Later on I'll post the link to the campaign and hope some of you dig the book.

I've laid out the pages in my book a certain way. There are certain points in the book where I really want to hit the reader. If someone was to flip through the pages of the book, they may see things that would lessen the impact of the certain points.

I picked a clown getting his ass kicked to represent someone who didn't follow the warning. In regards to the ass kicker, I have no idea why I gave him a bouffant hair style, hairy lower back, and platform shoes.

Hey dude, very cool you got a comic put together, you're further along than most people get so good on you for that.
As for the "Violence Porn" even if it is so what? There are circles for just about everyone, I'm sure you shouldn't be too hard pressed to find an audience. That being said though always be open to crits on your work, I'm sure the people who said it was violence porn do have a reason for saying so and if you want to hit a greater appeal you gotta listen to them.

Actually, I was happy that he called it 'violence porn' (even though there isn't any pornography). I'm glad that my book was seen or categorized as something. The violence in the book is very over-the-top, but I didn't make it violent to shock and get attention. Rather the violence in the book is to really push the story along. Everything in the book on every panel/page was done with a purpose. I laid out the pages in a very specific way to make the reader look forward to what's on the next page and sometime to jolt your attention.

The website only gives you 15 minutes after you make a post to edit it. After that 15 minutes expires, you won't be able to edit the post, I'm afraid.
