He's like that background character that's added to the plot of a book or movie. You don't actually know why he's there because the story would progress just as well without him. He's just sort of the wallpaper in the life of the other characters, making no impact positive or negative, in any aspect of the story.
His counterparts are that hot Indian girl from Harry Potter who only shows up to go on a date with Harry once, or T-Dog from the walking dead who is literally just a token black man whose death you can see coming because he finally gets lines, or even one of those background extras who they don't even hire again for the next scene because it's easier to find a new crowd than to remember everyone's names and find them again.
That's why he makes threads like this. It looks like he was trying to "troll" us, but he put in way too little effort to even fool anybody. This is the sort of thread idea you have to send in ten cereal box tops and wait two months for, but the thread is just "Eat more wheaties" so you decide "Fuck it, I'll just make the title provocative and it'll be good enough."
