Will you buy a PlayStation 4 Pro? Do you think it is not worth it?
Is there really any point in getting a 4K TV and all the 4K devices to go with it?
Unless you can afford a TV that's 4x bigger (or double the inches) of your current one, there won't really be much of a difference... Sharper picture, but is it really worth it?
A truly prophetic sig...

You are the first person to say no.

Some people have to have the newest items.

That is a great point about it not being worth it.

But taking out a car loan just to pay for the latest, greatest, 4K, OLED TV is something that very few of us are actually willing to do...

I'll probably get one for exclusive shit like Persona 5.

Not a fair comparison, but okay.

I agree with you, I would never get one.

4K OLED TV?... I would!...
But only when it drops down to $1000 or less.

Yes, never get one at that price. When the price drops to around $500 or less, than it could be an option.

This is so stupid, it's like saying you need a TV that's 4x bigger than an SD one to "appreciate" the extra detail in HD. I own a 4K TV, it's a modest 42" I think, and I'm usually sat 1-3 meters away from it, and you absolutely can tell the difference between 4k and HD at that distance. Hell, I have a 1440p (or 2k) monitor and multi-tasking between it and my HD monitor is quite the difference in my eyes.
illicit makes a damn good signature.

Yes, the difference could be noticed. Are you saying that you will be buying a Playstation 4 Pro?

Nah, I own a regular PS4 and as long as it's still getting the games I'll be perfectly content with it. It's just for exclusives really. I might have considered it if it shipped with a 4K Blu Ray player like the Xbox One S, but it doesn't.

The Playstation 4 Pro does seem like a hard sell. They need to lower the price, or include some more free games.

I'm gonna be falling on the "happy with a standard PS4" side, I can't see the point in investing in this as I won't be bothering with a 4K TV. I even prefer the look of the standard, the light looks better.

I'm more of a movie buff but it's still relevent. I would never pay that for a TV. Most I would go to would be £400 ($530.66). My Laptop cost less than $1,000 and it's a good one, how much better can the image really be.

This is the dumbest thing Sony could have done with the Pro. The only reason I can think of for not putting the blu ray player in it is pushing digital media but they couldn't have given people the option?

I understand. You seem to be with the majority.

Do you think this incident, will cause more gamers to avoid Sony in the future?

Sony did it for the money. There customers should be upset, and stop supporting them.
Okay, just read up on the Pro more and I think I'll be switching. Even though my TV is only 1080p, it's got a 5 GHz wifi band, so that's gonna be a nice upgrade over having to use 2.4, and I can't imagine I'll never make the switch to a 4K TV.

You are the first person to actually decide to get one. Let us know how it works out.

There is a reason they call PC the master race.

I Hate Consoles Now.
I Loved The PS3 When It Was New,I Played On It All Day For Almost 5 Years!
Consoles Are Like PC's Only Worse. But If I Still Liked Consoles, I Would Wait For A Play Station 5 Or Xbox 98.
Also It's Fucking Ugly.
DON'T BUY IT UNLESS YOU ARE TRUMP.

We're at that early stage of the technology where, unless you haven't updated your tech in years, this is a total waste of time.
Give it about 5 years, though. Everyone will have a fucking 4K TV.

Only if they sell PS1 games and PS2 games. I aint interested in getting a console that barely has games that i dont care for

Also it had lots of interesting games coming out for it
To be fair though, 4K TVs are pretty "cheap", cheaper than Full HD TVs just a few years ago. But if it'll make the PS4 games on my 720p TV fly...

I don't judge how a gaming system looks, I just play it.

You don't have to be Trump fo play video games. lol
It's not worth it at all to me. It seems like a mild upgrade for 4K TV owners, which I am not. If it included a 4K Bluray player, then it might be a bit more enticing, but as it stands, it's not significant enough of an upgrade to warrant buying.
The worst part is that they're still acknowledging a potential PS5, so chances are this iteration will have a short shelf life.
