Tetris is the one game that is universally loved. Is there any other game that can compare?
Universally? No clue. If I had to guess, I would be something similarly classic, like Pong/Breakout, Pac-Man, etc.

Pac-Man could be close. It has been a fun game for a long time.
The original PC version of Tetris was one of the many first games that I ever played.
The last time I played it was in the 90s on a small, yellow monochrome CRT monitor.

As for my personal opinions on Tetris, it's a good game, but that's about it. I'm not a huge fan, but have no real issues with it. It's just not totally my thing.
It is a classic gameboy game, and can still be enjoyed today.
I do enjoy Tetris, along with many other puzzle and strategy games.

Tetris is the original, like Super Mario Bros. It may not have the best graphics or gameplay, but it is a classic.
