Except one of the kids blew his hands off with a firecracker, causing it to get banned and now because of this, we can't play with firecrackers anymore.

I agree with this a lot. I find that shows like Family Guy/ American Dad have a lot more of these types of fans.
I had a friend once that literally just told Family Guy jokes all day every Monday after the new episodes.

i can respect how they have a dumb audience appeal "lol xd turd sandwich giant douche", but also a totally intelligent appeal, since their jokes are all pretty well thought out.
also what zornuzkull said. being blatantly offensive and not caring about it is something i appreciate a lot.
It's utter trash but, I will admit it makes great political statements, but I'm not pretentious enough to ostracize people for liking it.
I have always found it amusing, the creepier it gets, the more I laugh

You have 0 credibility in judging what is good.. and yes you are pretentious as fuck.
Yes, I watch My little Pony, and yes, I think Southpark is trash. And no, I have no authority to judge what is or isn't good. Neither do you.
I faaaaill to see your point.
It's declined a lot over the years, but I'll still watch the newer episodes.
It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits.

I'm enjoying the newer episodes. I feel like it was really consistent until around season 11, where is started to go a little crazy.
But now it's getting back on track.
it has been a LOOOOONG time since i've watched it consistently. it's still a decent show, i just don't really watch. it's really one of very few programs on comedy central that's not horrible.
It's alright. I like the fact that the writers are well aware of the fact that they aren't paragons of morality.
Suffers the same problems that any long running animated show has ofc, the universe rarely, rarely changes.

Which is why the new season is so refreshing imo.
I liked the first eight or nine seasons but when the show devolved to just quoting shitty memes I stopped watching it. Haven't watched a single episode in about four years now.
