It will be good, I think anyone who grew up with the original will enjoy the references to the first one.
Who knows, it'll probably be mixed or heck, even might get really positive reviews. I just hope it doesn't get a mass load of negative reviews.

It should be good. I think it will be better without Will Smith's bad acting.

You never know how reviews will go.
Hopefully they don't make it too much like the 2005 "War of the Worlds" film.
I want it to be scary; not disturbing.
A truly prophetic sig...

I want to see action and maybe a little scary. Not boring and disturbing.
Out of all the movies they could have done a sequel for, they picked Independence Day.
I grew up watching the first one, and it's actually one of my favorite sci-fi movies. My friend wants to take me to the first showing, so I'll definitely be seeing it. They'd better not fuck it up. I'm kind of surprised they picked this one to do a sequel for.
fuk
Didn't they kill Data off in the last one?

Hollywood has been out of ideas for years. Easier to do a sequel than think up something original.

i saw the trailer before x-men: apocalypse and it sounded/looked great in the theater
i'll check it out
The first film was okay. The biggest difference will be no Will Smith trying to soak up all the spotlight.
Hopefully there will no stupid cliché characters in this one, that was way to dumb in the first one. The movie was great though

Take it back right now.

id4, no
But there's a scene where a dog jumps away from an explosion in slow motion.

A good cast and script can be a challenge for some films. Data needs to have a much larger part.
The movie will be disappointing without Will Smith but even then it sounds better than what have been planned for the Feminazi movie that was disguising itself as a Ghostbusters movie.

I think you are giving Will Smith too much credit. The film could be success without him.
That Ghostbusters remake will be terrible.

Data from Star Trek? You know he died in the first film right

Didn't Dr. Okun die in the last movie?
In the first film Dr. Okun is attacked and 'possessed' by an alien. The alien is then shot to death and we see Dr. Okun laying on the floor lifeless with eyes open, apparently dead. But it was never confirmed.
Data is in the cast. You can't kill an android. lol

They might even mention him still being alive in this sequel.

Jeff Goldblum reveals why he came back for Independence Day Resurgence. They also mention why Will Smith did not come back, it was more than wanting too much money.
