2016: working class vs rich people

no one needs to have millions upon millions of dollars in their back pocket, especially when the rate of child poverty continues to grow, the situation is staggering.

I don't want the U.S. to be communist or even 100 percent socialist. I just want a system that protects weak people,

Some brain washed pieces of shit on this site will definitely say things like "don't punish people for being successful" or "let nature run its course" or "people who are poor or handicapped got that way because they're lazy"

If you are brain washed like so, then there's already no hope for you, and you will probably be a sad miserable and pathetic person to your very last breath.

If I became a billionaire because my father was rich, and gave me a huge sum of money that was easy to start a business with and turn it into billions, then I'd use most of the profit for charity voluntarily. If I was forced to give up most of it in the form of taxes, that would still be fine, as it would be for anyone else.

I'll be the first one to smile when the United States is nothing but a deserted wasteland, that's the direction it is heading.

Okay then, lay out a progressive tax bracket table that you think is fair.

I don't take orders from strangers, anyway, economics is hardly something I'm an expert in, but any IDIOT can see our current system is NOT working

The U.S. government is corrupted by the way because politicians take huge amounts of money from corporations, they refuse common sense regulation as a result, and corporations get to make much bigger profits at the expense of the public

that's the way things are being run, and there won't be any hope of anything until we at least fix the corruption.

the government needs to change, but before we can change it, we have to get rid of the corruption infesting it.

What, specifically, are some of these common sense regulations you subscribe to then?

Flint, Michigan, as an extreme example, occurred because the governor decided he didn't need to regulate public water, as in, test to see if it's fucking poisoned with lead or not.

There's a law that states a gun shop has to sell a gun to a person if the background check takes longer than one week. Gee I wonder why that exists. Golly gee hmm

The FDA won't stand up to the pharmaceutical industry and ban drugs that are causing significant harm to the general public. The pharmaceutical industry has spent more money lobbying and buying politicians than any other industry, gee I wonder if there's a little bit of a cause and effect right here GOLLY GEE

Private prison industry spent money on some politicians and now all of a sudden they think we need to be tougher on crime and jail every man woman and child that smokes weed for life,

gee I wonder what the heck is going it's almost as if the system is designed to set people up for jail and it also is designed to fuck up normal people who go to jail so that they repeat offend and stay in jail I wonder if there is a profit motive right here for the private prisons.

No matter which direction you look, you see scandal, you see shit. that's the U.S. for ya

Here's the thing, you came onto a discussion board and started a topic. You didn't lay out specifics, all Finalee was doing is trying to get some specifics so the discussion could continue. Then you posted this and some stuff after it that's still vague and ignored him. If you're not interested in a discussion, go post these things on your blog and turn the comments off, that's totally a right you have on this site. But if you come to the discussion part, we expect you to play fair and have a discussion with your fellow users.

I gave up the idea of a personal bias a long time ago. I do not contain a personal preference when it comes down to these matters. I will blindly follow utilitarianism forever, which means, whatever is scientifically proven to be the most productive, most efficient, most healthy and humane way of solving a problem, that is what I subscribe to.

It is scientifically proven that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link.
Therefore, the country needs to give a shit about its social and economic issues. For example, if a person randomly gets cancer through no fault of their own, they're still fucked, because no normal person would be able to pay the insane cost of medical treatment.

Not having a system of universal healthcare for all citizens doesn't just hurt the people who can't pay for their healthcare or insurance. It hurts everyone, because we all have to watch as shit tons of people die for no reason.

Obviously, witnessing death is traumatic, but with this context, it gets exponentially worse.

Now we're in my area, as I will be a famous psychologist eventually.

So you believe there are some "common sense" ideas and regulations out there, but you cannot commit to naming one of them?

what this tells me is that you

1) didn't read what I wrote
2) don't care about this conversation
3) are quite possibly trolling
4) have no life
5) may be a sociopath
and 6) in dire need of a cock in your mouth

I'm only asking because you seem to have conflicting viewpoints where on one hand, there are some regulations that you believe are "common sense," while on the other, you say you'll basically just go with whatever works out the best. It seems that you aren't interested in any sort of real discussion, and are more focused on just ranting. Sorry to have made you upset, but you're being very ridiculous.

Unless the OP is being sarcastic, there is no way that anyone should take anything he says seriously. The inability of this person being able to take a joke cements that this thread has lasted way longer than it really should have.

OP, General thread is the other way, me thinks you need to stay there. Kthnx.

Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
