Art that's suitable for NG?

I've been on this website for quite a while, posting everything I make as soon as I can, but for some reason I feel out of place. When looking at the latest works in the Art Portal I just see an ocean of relatively similar art, none of it seems close to my style. Is what I make just a bit different from the norm here on NG? I'll leave this up to you to decide :P

Does it matter if it's different from the "usual" stuff that is posted? Variety is the spice of life.

Who said individuality in you art was a bad thing?
I know this cliche has been beaten all the way into Earth's core (if not deeper), but I think you should just keep doing what you like, using your own style, and progress from there.

Believe me, I'm still in the same position you're in right now.

Thanks a heap you guys, at first I thought there was a base style everyone followed or at was similar to, but hearing what you've said really helps me :D

I actually like those drawings on text you have going it's pretty nifty and you can totally make a cool series out of it. This site can really surprise you. I'm in the same boat with you sometimes, my shit's kinda weird and can com off as 2edgy COMPILATION 2005 shit. When it comes to art for huge masses there's going to be the same looking stuff that popular because it's familiar, or if it's pornographic and looks like/close to how a character looks in a show. You'll be very surprised what kind of corner you'll find here that will attract people. If it makes you not feel alone I'm still kind of trying to find a bigger home with my work with constant reject letters and unanswered emails about my stuff. It happens because it's life and stuff that deviates from the norm isn't popular unless you have a mental disorder/kill yourself/know rich people/do porn. Keep doing what's YOU and it'll turn out ok. I remember talking with a pal's pal about staying true what you like to do and never changing your work for anyone.That's true because if you have to put a "safe mask" just to please everyone else, what's the point?
Keep at it, you're stuff is cool and you're young. You'll be ok NG is a nice place. :)
