Well they could make a Mario RTS called Mushroom Wars where you can play as Bowser's army as well as Mario's.

Robotnik wants to take over the world. Mario wants to save the world. That's why Robotnik is a villain and Mario is a hero.

Because Delilah works for the main villain, a cyborg cat who wants to take over the world. Mario, on the other hand, tries to save his princess from a fire-breathing turtle monster who tried (twice) to take over the universe. Being a hero or villain is about motivations, not looks or abilities. Look at Samus of Metroid fame; she's hot and kicks ass, but she's the hero in the Metroid games.

Oh, and for the record, Mario went into the cosmos to punch Bowser into a black hole in the center of the universe. If that's not hot stuff, I don't know what is.

Never gonna happen. Nintendo wouldn't intentionally ruin their character's image like that.
