I haven't been able to do a lot of actual art (not counting doodles) lately due to a bunch of school projects AND getting sick, but I managed to cough this one out. I tried putting more of the focus on a better background on this one. Hopefully being sick won't hinder me down and make me take longer. :'D

Finally finished up this thing this morning, just before I had to leave for school. I wanted to play around with cell shading and colours, and I guess now I also really like extremely saturated things.
Or maybe just things in both extremes (really saturated or really dull).

I doodled this out a week or so ago, and I decided to go abck and use this as a test subject so I could experiment on a few things. I tried out a new hair colouring/shading style, and I'm pretty pleased with the results. I can finally outline the hair so that it doesn't just look like a mop thrown on top of someone's head. lel Another thing I tried out are some colouring techniques which I have seen a few other artists use, and seems to make things look smoother.
I want to try and finish this by either tonight or tomorrow, though I've been having difficulties putting in the shirt collar for some reason.

I finally finished, and added in a shirt (finally). Although I'm a bit displeased with the bottom half, I'm really satisfied with how everything else turned out. :> Also I used 39 layers with this one. O: I usually only use, like, half of that.

Finally did some stuff today: I kind of changed up the design of Arin's scythe and I also made his clothes pretty spiffy.

I'm also planning on putting in a bunch of symbolism onto the finished thing. :>

I did this the other day for painting practice. I really gotta work on refining the details... since I how no idea how to in the first place.
Damnit me, practice more. :P

I started on this two seconds ago, and I'm surprised on how I (for once) actually kind of got this angle right. I really gotta do studies again. ;-;

For once, I'm almost entirely satisfied with how this turned out. Climbin' those steps, ya feel me. :^)

I experimented with colour palettes and I started to try out different expressions. So for the first time Arin doesn't look like a tormented anime kid who's constantly sad/serious. Ayyyy

I'm not liking that arm, but I didn't use a reference so I payed the price. :< Also I have to wake up at five in the morning for school tomorrow. It's like, in the AMs'. I have a problem.

I originally planned for this to be flipped the other way, but I had the canvas inverted and didn't notice so I drew it on the wrong side. :L

Started this a few hours ago, but didn't get around to finishing it since I had to go. </3

I really like colour theory. LOL But serious. I love how you can manipulate an emotion from just a single colour. Think about it. Or you can draw the eye to something just because of how something is saturated compared to what isn't.

I'm really tired so I probably make 0 sense. Ayyyy

I fixed a bunch of things that were bothering me, and made the shading darker. Usually, I wouldn't update but I guess I wasn't technically finished yet on the first one. .w.

I've been having this idea in my head for the past couple days, and I finally decided to sketch it out. I don't really feel like finishing it tonight though (and I've got homework anyway).

I'm not really liking this one too much because I got lazy and didn't add in more contrast. I have no patience when it comes to painting. :x

I wanted to do something heavily stylized, and something relating to the cold weather outside.
So then this thing happened.

Doodled this today cause I wanted to do something monochromatic.
Kind of bland though. :x
