yeah the first time i came here was in like 2002 or 2003 because the simdate game, after beating it you get a video or whatever for the ending. in retrospect the rest of the game is kinda pointless all things considered since you can just go to the creator's profile and select the ending video there if you were so inclined, but I always just beat the game as a kid to see the video.

I got here by a spongebob game and clicking a little jellyfish brought me to newgrounds. Being unable to read very well at the time, I hated the place.

Later I came back though the games section of the site, then discovered the clock crew and grew to love the place.

Nobody's first interactions with the community were good. Mine were through doing crappy flashes but I knew that the abuse was coming and was alright with it - I myself admitted that my stuff was crap but I always thought I'd get good some day even if I never really did.

My First lesson was to never be popular, because the community hates celebrities.

Everything thats on NG is ripped way out of proportions if its talked about way too much.

I wasn't very nice when I first signed up.
I was confused about everything, yet too brainwashed to notice the difference.

I look back now at all my previous posts and realize, fuck, I deserve an award or something.

I first went on here in 2008 or 2009.
I accidentally went to the BBS by clicking something while watching a flash. A weird comic popped up that had porn in it.
I didn't know what it was so I just went back to my flash video.

I think I came across NG when searching for web games back in 03, I remember the first game I played here was something to do with hunting/bombing Saddam Hussein or something like that. It must have made quite an impression as I'm still around.

I first came on the site around 1999 or so. I didn't make an account until last year though. I remember back when this was pretty much the only good place to watch online videos. Good times.

Earliest thing I can remember is making a thread ironically complaining about people who hate Sonic. Some guy told me to get a sense of humor, I think there was a mini-circlejerk going on and the thread got deleted a few minutes later.

I signed up in 1994 and all I remember is wondering why I bought a NEOGEO.

I can't remember how I found this site, but I discovered NG in either 2009 or 2010, and then I eventually made an account in late 2010. I used to play the games on here with my best friend at the time. I think I made an account because of this old chat room game called World of Words 2, but I dunno

I learned about Newgrounds when Tom Fulp talked about his silly little website on Attack of the Show, back when there was still a G4 Tech TV channel--before it got bought out by Esquire. Back then it was dedicated to video games and the rapidly expanding world of technology. Olivia Munn being one of the hosts of AotS also didn't hurt.

But yeah, Tom talked about his burgeoning media world of purely user-submitted content, and it sounded pretty freaking sweet. So I joined up and started watching movies, playing games, listening to audio...all that jazz. I got hooked pretty quickly. Wasn't until 2011 that I finally broke down, after all my friends kept telling me to do something with the music I'd been making, and started submitting stuff myself. That was a really busy year, and I was hitting the two-upload-per-day limit on a regular basis. Hard to believe that was even a thing...

I also remember that, on that same episode of AotS, there was mention of some weird social networking site called The Facebook, but it was clearly destined for utter failure. I mean come on, what could possibly be better than MySpace? Clearly all the epic websites were run by guys named Tom.
