Stop being clingy. Clingy is not an attractive quality to have. It's not an attractive quality in females either.

How do I know the problem is you're being clingy? Phrasing such as "abandonment issues" .... straight-up clingy.

Also, "commitment" ... Something tells me you're moving way too fast. Moving too fast is usually a bad sign, a red flag to watch out for. You can get "commitment" but not right away. You've gotta ease into it if that's what you want.

Alternately, you can try getting with an older clingy woman if you don't feel like changing anything about yourself. She'll be neurotic as hell and probably won't look very good, but she probably won't leave you because women start getting desperate after a certain age.

Most of my issues have come from not meeting other poly people, so when a monogamous person is attracted to me they assume I'm the one that has commitment issues and their response is to move on (hence, abandonment issues.) This can happen surprisingly far into a relationship, when you think that your partner understands you and accepts your feelings.

The few poly people I've met I haven't found myself compatible with either; most I've come in contact with seem to be at completely different parts in their life to the point where a relationship isn't feasible, OR someone whose situation is closer to mine (young, college student, etc.) that's a complete off-the-deep-end feminist.

Okay well let's work with that. So you're polyamorous, most people aren't, and you're unwilling to be monogamous and one-night stands aren't your thing? And to top it all off, in the off-chance you meet other polyamorous people, they're not really into you/you're not really into them for whatever reasons?

You know, ordinarily I wouldn't recommend online dating sites because honestly I believe most people would get far better results in person. But for some very specific requirements like polyamory? See if there's a polyamory-specific dating site out there. Try it out. It's niche enough it might avoid a lot of the problems with more usual dating sites.

Or try to ask around and see if there's a swingers club in your area. That might be your thing. But you likely can't get in until you've also got a swinging partner as they typically don't let in single males.

If you ain't got a girl, you ain't got a problem. That's how I see it.
