This bunch of well-meaning douchebags wrote one of the most innaccurate and arguably racist songs about Africa that I've ever heard....

I've never once heard this song (where are you shopping that they even play this?) and I entered thread fully expecting to discuss the merits, pros and/or cons, of Bandaids, the medical bandage product. False thread advertising.

But to go with my initial assumptions, I will just say that some kinds of Bandaids make me break out in rashes. That wasn't the case years ago. So they really need to do better product testing before putting things on market or changing stuff around.

I shouldn't have to go out of my way to find decent Bandaids. They just shouldn't sell the shitty kinds. That's what's wrong with Bandaids.

Nah, no hemophilia or compromised immune system. Depends on the wound. I don't use Bandaids very often, but I mean when you need one, it's no good if you find out you're allergic to the damn thing. And I know Bandaids in the 80s never had that effect on me. It's one of those things that's good to have around just in case, but I mean they really need to product test stuff before putting it on store shelves.

If it speeds up the healing process even a little, it's probably worth using. You'll still scab over. Bandaid won't stop that. Scabbing is good.

plus, removing a bandaid may require skin grafts afterwards. hopefully i exaggerated there. hopefully it's just incredibly painful.

Well you don't just lightning speed rip them off. Easiest method is soak it in the shower and gradually ease it off. Also, go from the inside-out, unless it's a circle Bandaid and that method's impossible. Yeah, you'll still pull hairs out. Yeah, it might hurt a little.

you have to be incredibly careful when hurting yourself, otherwise you might hurt yourself more than you're used to being hurt.

I have pretty good mental resistance to pain. Not saying I'm completely immune to it, but if I know I'm going to get hurt anyway, I can mentally block out much of it. It's not 100%. I'd say I can mentally block out maybe 60%-70%. Somewhere around there. I'm sure one of those Tibetan monks could do a lot better than that but I'd say not bad for a non-monk.
