what is your favorite thing about the old newgrounds (before 2007)

The Newgrounds Revolution isn't a thing, quit being a pussy.
That the problems of the future were today, and now they're yesterday.
Animated sigs, the ability to change username at any time and lightbulb emote.
A truly prophetic sig...
The slogan.
"Everything, by Everyone"
DAMN what a classic. So simple, yet so full of possibility. Gives off this air of,
"Be ready for anything and everything, because you've stumbled across a clusterfuck of a treasure trove."
And hot damn how true that was (and still is).
Haha check this out, now Reddit is hip to this hot new viral meme

Same. The 2007 layout is the bee's knees. The current layout is gay and dumb and retarded and I hate it.

Tomorrow is nearly yesterday and every day is stupid

Let's see... I was under 18... I had nothing better to do with my time...
and of course... BEEBO!!! BBEEEBBBOOOFFUCKCKCUFCCKJDFSKL:DJF:SKLDJ
the dating sims were really something horrible too...
YES GANGURO GIRL I FUCK U I WIN I WIN WIN
This loop played in the Portal, and it was good. It had an easy to find, persistent toggle/mute button, but so many other sites started playing popup loops.. ppl would bitch at any and all they encountered, it just got annoying, considering the web was still small and unrefined. Mostly content sites, that thrived off the referral banners of others, were the real audio spammers... then the referral banners died out due to various reasons, money for starters.
That, and most the things that were said already.
Oh, and having Secrets too (very slim pickin's after the the last redesign).
I miss the simpler layout and the way you login. I hate the new login system.
It has got to be all the shit Tom got himself into when he constantly pushed the envelope and encouraged others to do the same. It was really something, it was on the fucking news. It was an outlet. It was everything by everyone and the problems of the future today. A total clusterfuck of crude sex and gore and jokes about terrorism.
We've thrown the limelight away from that and focused on softer artsy stuff, which I don't really oppose but goddamn Newgrounds was really on the radar for some pretty crazy shit. It wasn't really all that great before, but the tinge of nostalgia warps the viewpoints of others. So that's an issue.
Newgrounds was once a haven for all the kids out there with deeply-rooted issues who needed to creatively vent. Now that position has been filled by Tumblr and we haven't looked back since.
Here's to Newgrounds, that site that's just still here.
You people focus way too much on the past and not enough on the future.
New Newgrounds thread when?
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO THAT, THEY'RE CLEARY OPPRESSING MUSCLE BARNEY OVER THERE BY CENSORING HIS COCK.
Times are a changing
Oldskies lmao
I remember when the audio portal used to play a random song when you went into it. And usually the song was really good, that's how I found some of the artists I follow now.

People had working blam buttons
that endless handbag loop was very tight. Used to like foamy the squirrel a lot, and blockhead by swain was a fond memory of mine.
I think the best thing was that I never had an account on the website.
Since I joined in '08, newgrounds just kinda corrupted me since.

Nah man it is all mind over matter. It's how you use it, knives are for cutting food, point it away from you when you slice though
Newgrounds was less monetized, it seemed there was real Newgrounds culture, NG still had cultural web significance, more than just a place for games.
Unfortunately I think NG is an artifact of the past, a shadow of what it once was. NG has definitely peaked, and I'm not sure it will reach that level again.
I liked that it was so new.
