I would find love, but like all drugs suddenly becoming legal; it will never happen.
I'd be more willing to try the drugs I've wanted to, assuming quality control is a thing; Cannabis, Psilocybin, LSD, DMT, and possibly others with research.
Probably the ones OP listed along with heroine and cocaine (unless I'm on my deathbed) and ketamine. I'd probably test and experiment with a variety of hallucinogenics, but would only do weed more often than the others. Once every couple of months or so.
None of the hard shit that's designed to just make you keep buying.
Maybe cocaine for the sake of it.
Of course I'd try all the hallucinogenics I can get my hands on and the counterculture stuff. As well as sticking to the already legal caffeine, nicotine and alcohol.
I like to enjoy myself even at these prices.

But why stop at the drugs you would or would not take?
If we did live in a world where in at least a few countries all drugs gradually became legal, how would society hold up? What would be the social, political and legal ramifications? Would some big pharmaceutical company totally screw over the synthesized drug customers?
I imagine old white fucks picketing this shit at a heartbeat, for one.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. It's entirely possible, especially as time goes on.

There will be problems in the countries where it's illegal vs. those where it's legal, I'd imagine. If it was legal in all countries? No major problems with it. People who are going to be dumbasses will be dumbasses anyway. Legal or illegal doesn't stop that. For everyone else, I don't imagine responsible use would create much of a problem. Legal ramifications? ... Obviously it's all legal, so no problems there -- still wouldn't absolve people of responsibilities though so, for example, commit some other crime while under the influence of a drug = still held responsible for that. There'd be fewer people in prisons, for sure. I'd say that'd generally be a good thing.
Political? Well, obviously it would have to be something the majority of people wanted, which I think will happen at some point anyway. I don't think it's a question of *if* but rather of *when*. And I think this is one of those areas where time will prove me right. It just needs to be politically the best move to make in order to go through, and that'll come at some point.
I'm not sure how pharmacies would cause an issue, as you seem to think. I mean if stuff's legal then it's legal. Maybe they could produce new drugs but the existing stuff would still be around. They'd probably even be the ones selling it.
As to old people picketing it? I actually doubt that. Believe it or not, even the far right-wing is becoming more tolerant of the possibility of legalizing at least marijuana, which even a few years ago would have been pretty unheard of for them. We're talking old, exclusively Republican voters here. So I don't think it's unreasonable to consider it probably won't be too long before even they'll concede to the more general case. Sure, the left-wing will probably get there first, but I think the right-wing will catch up and I think it'll be within our lifetimes too.
See, I don't think all drugs becoming legal is so far-fetched, actually. Is it progressive? Sure. But I think it'll happen sooner or later.
It's not impossible to change the views of the right-wing. It simply takes longer than to change the views of more progressive types. That's all.
I mean look how far we've come ... would you even imagine gay marriage in the US to become legal even a few years ago? Is it that far fetched this could happen?
None, every drug is a poison that you add to the poison that your body already produces.
Oldskies lmao

That's a good point. Mind over matter, is definitely a strong stabilizer.
I was looking at Wikipedia's list of misconceptions and there were literally over a dozen of them about LSD. I would try it, if only because it would simply be unbelievable that anyone could make up that many things about anything. Something with that many rumors must be good.
