I wouldn't replace the colors.

I always liked Newground's color scheme, with the almost leather like black and the gold. It's not only cool, but it's become iconic of the site.

It gave me a smooth, relaxed feeling, but at the sametime, curious and interesting.

I'd prefer if there was a choice of themes, based on things like auras and old design schemes.

It doesn't use gold. It uses yellow, orange and brown, as well as black.

The only use of gold is the moderator and staff names at the bottom of the BBS and their auras.

I like the way it is now but if i really chad to change i would replace the yellow and orange for pink/dark pink or red/purple.

I find these colours work well. Black is boring but this "not black" shade is more appealing for a nice dark background colour for the boxes. Bright colours hurt the eyes so these dark ones work well. The orangeish yellowish gold text works well and looks appealing and contrasts the dark background well.

I think they chose their colouring well and will stick to it unless they introduced more options in a similar type of effectiveness which I might toy with.

same, but purple on black. red's too much of a drab. not shadowy enough.

Maybe once there's a "Change-the-background" option we could change the background to an evil setting, such as a haunted castle, military compound, graveyard, or even a starry vortex of a black hole. There may even be an option in the future in which we can make our own backgrounds with premade elements to decorate the background. Heck with it, I'd like an option in which we could have TRON lines as the secondary color on our userpages.
