I know botanically, tomato is a fruit but when it comes to a culinary standards, it's pretty much mixed in with vegetables. Let's be honest, do tomatoes even taste like fruits to you?
With that said, do you consider it to be a fruit or a vegetable?
I personally prefer the culinary standards but just go around teaching your kids that tomato is a vegetable if you want to avoid confusing them once they get past kindergarten.
But then again they don't help much in the early school years since teachers tends to encourage that sort of misconception.
