so we're back at last.

sprite a day has been an amazing experience of both flash animators' practice and the art of using sprites as a joke medium. we need you to now decide whether or not you are ready for the sprite a day schedule, because it is frantic. there will be clicking of the mouse most ridiculous. the copy and paste will be abused beyond human understanding. we will use sprite animation to blow your mind.

tl;dr

SPRITE A DAY IS BACK

the first week will be written here along with the specifications. if you are down to get sprites, i suggest using the links i have provided. we will begin the tradition of skype communication and ngdump file distribution. we will have daily skype calls to set up the day's morale. we will come up with ideas and decide what to do with animation in our own time and it will be a challenge. you either make a flash for the day or you don't. i however am dedicated to this working. it is easy to make a short cartoon with all the free music, artwork, and ideas of your own at your disposal, and i think anyone can get in on this. it helps you get into the animating mood, whether or not its fbf or tweened, its the idea that you are making someone get a giggle out of your creation.

specs:
24fps
850x400 (use a Vcam in as3)
BG: use your own, because i will not accept incomplete parts.
time limit (3 minutes. do not make a part linger on for no good reason.)
anipedia is down so if you dont have the sprite tool, ask me .

every day 7 in the weeks will be the "wildcard" day, where we have a topic that is crazily open to interpretation!

yep, we're going to use a linear presentation style instead of menus this time. swivel yourselves to death!

by the way, vaguely, you are one of the coolest motherfuckers ever to use a sprite to do a thing. welcome aboard =D

Can't think of any decent ideas for Digimon unfortunately, should be able to produce something cool for mother 3 though :)

we're having to reschedule the start for monday the 27th because of my schedule. i'm really sorry for this delay, but, it will just be easier for all of us.

I really think the parts should only last between 1 minute to 1 minute 30 seconds.

no, just make them last between 30 seconds and 2 minutes.

that gives a nice amount of time for the audience to get the material =)
