South Tower is gone! Can you believe that? Also Pentagon and some other building are collapsed...
Well there goes two big landmarks in NY and thousands of people are dead. The chain of command in the pentagon is being threatened. The state department got car bombed. Now I heard that a palestinian group are taking responsibility. All flights across the country are grounded. NY city is all fucked up and everything's on lock-down.
So who wants to talk about flag burning now? Any one got a palestinian flag? *sarcasm
U.S. military jets reportedly took to the skies to shoot down any unidentified aircraft, and congressional leaders were taken to secure locations. A plane was reported to have been circling the Capitol building before the evacuation.
American Airlines later acknowledged that one of its flights had been hijacked Tuesday morning shortly after leaving Boston en route to Los Angeles.
In the wake of the crashes, New York airports and the Lincoln Tunnel were closed as precautionary measures. The stock exchanges in New York also did not open.
Large holes were visible in sides of the 110-story buildings. The tops of the twin towers were obscured by the smoke.
Woooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
lets see...what have we done to piss them off..well we invade their country to try to make "peace" and they are always telling us to leave, well they finally got sick and tired of us being over there i think. you ever notice how all this terroist stuff has started happening to us when we stick our noses in some other countrys business.

I'm heartless? I'm heartless? Thousands of people die every fucking day from stavation and no-one gives a fucking shit, a few thousand americans die and everyone is up in arms.

You seem offended...
As for the hungry, they weren't murdered... while it is a major tragedy that people who are homeless starve and eventually die... I can only imagine the suffing that people feel when they're... oh... I don't know... Burning up after being hijacked by a group of terrorist!!! Plus, they're whole city isn't taken down with them...
So in other words... yes you are heartless... either that or you hate Capitalism more than I thought!
As for the hungry, they weren't murdered...
Oh no of course they weren't, silly me. There I was thinking that the starving could have been fed, but no.
I can only imagine the suffing that people feel when they're... oh... I don't know... Burning up after being hijacked by a group of terrorist!!!
Yes because dying over 6 weeks, then having all your organs failon you is a walk in the park.
Plus, they're whole city isn't taken down with them...
Yes, because you can't rebuild cities can you?
So in other words... yes you are heartless... either that or you hate Capitalism more than I thought!
I hate Capitalism more than anyone thinks, but the fact is that my mood is in reaction to yours, everyone is going fucking crazy over it, but thousands of people die and no-one says shit.

You can, but you can't replace the needless deaths...

You don't have to act so proud over it, dude. When I see someone going "Woooooooooooo Hoooooooooooo!!!" like an old drunk, I wonder what kind of hypocrate thinks that even though starvation is horrible (which it is), the thought of thousands plumeting to their deaths is an aircraft with a gun to their heads is fun fun fun!!! Now perhaps if they hit Big Ben, you would say differnt...
Listen you little fuck. I respect your right to believe as you will. But if you go out and cheer the deaths of thousands of Americans DO NOT do it in public in the US. You WILL be killed. I would do it myself you little pubesent cocksucker.
The US can be beaten but not if public opinion has been steeled. The feeling is rage. Payback will be extracted.

Payback won't help. Sure, I'd like to punch somebody right now, but I'm not going to. The fact is, these cowards behind it (whether it be Osama bin Ladin or someone else) will get what's due to them. They're sick bastards who deserve whatever they get. I watched the plane slam into the World Trade Center, and I just wanted to pound somebody. But I'm keeping myself calm. What matters is the families of the people. We can never forget that these people were killed like this, or we will be doomed to repeat what has happened today.
Slizor: Can't you even feel one ounce of sadness for those who died? Sure, people are starving, and believe it or not, they are given money and supplies. But guess what, the government of that country takes all the money and supplies, and leaves the citizens with jack shit. That's how it works. When you send your money to all of those charities that donate money, you are really paying that countries governmnet. The takes the money you donate, and gives it to the government. They then use it for themeselves, and give the citizens whats left over. If you are going to blame anyone, blame the government of that 3rd world country. Stop acting like a whiny asshole who thinks they know the solution to all of the worlds problems. It is sad that people die of starvation, but we cant exactly do much to stop it.
Slizor, If you think that the death of one person can be justified by the fact that others die too you're a moron, It's a pretty sick concept. Obviosuly, what happend was a tragedy, and by denying it you no more show a wisdom, then you're own immaturity. I've heard jubilation in the middle east over the deaths, and to me this is one of the most horrid concepts I've heard of in a long time. To think that someone has so much hate for a government, nationality, or ethnicty that simply murdering innocent people who live in the counrty, brings them joy... It's absolutly abhorrid. Even worse, the american Nazi Youth ( ROTC ) today, beat on one of my Arabic freinds, I eventually had to stop it. Ideas that violent acts are the only reprecussions for violent acts, are the soul reason for murder being not only wide spread, but accepted.
I know what Slizor means, its like when somebody kills americans, then its just plain wrong, people die everysingle day and do we hold a minute of silence? No we don't, you start pissing the wrong people off and this stuff happens, and bombing or fighting is only going to make it worse.
What a chilling episode. It was surreal. It was like a dream or a movie. I really didn't think it had happened, although I knew all too well that it had.
In many ways, it doesn't surprise me that it happened, because it seemed like the time was ripe for someone, somewhere to commit some major act of terrorism in (or against) the US.
What stunned me was the sheer theatrics of it. I mean, they really pulled off a big one, and it amazes me the degree of control and accuracy they had. These guys weren't amateurs.
It's such a sad event really. It makes me wonder about humanity, and why things always have to get down to violent ends.
If anyone owns up to it (and I think it would be suicide to do so), I think I can probably imagine their reasons.
Slizor, and others, have always pushed a line that the US (and the west in general) fucks with other people. This is certainly true. Accept that now, or face more of the same.
Hard as it may be to accept by Americans and other westerners, not every country or nationality on this planet readily accepts the US as the good guys, and it's not all about jealousy either.
Many people, including the Palestinians, have been routinely fucked over.
To a certain degree, violence is always the means of a desperate person. All the suspects have been trying for years to get someone to address the power imbalances on this planet and so forth, and it's pretty well fallen on deaf ears.
That's why this is no surprise to me. People talk about the War on America. Well, the War by America has been going on for a long time now, and finally, the victims have had enough.
People call it cowardly, and in one sense it is.
In another sense, would you expect these people to fight a conventional war? Whether it's the middle east, Ireland, or wherever, terrorists have to resort to these methods to even up the odds. Don't forget that not so long ago, even the Americans did it to gain their own independence. They were considered cowardly for not fighting pitched battles in open fields.
Furthermore, what ever happened to the thing we were all taught as children of "pick on someone your own size?"
It's easy for a bigger power to keep a smaller one down, and how is the smaller one to respond?
From the smaller powers' points of view, the west is cowardly because in a lot of cases, it fights the cowardly war through economics, etc.
I know at this point in the post, a lot of people may think I am condoning or supporting what has happened.
I'm not. I think it is a terrible thing, and violence is always a tragedy.
The reason I am saying this is because of something I heard on a current affairs talk show a while back. It's something that keeps ringing in my ears.
Some political analyst was being interviewed, and he said something like the following (of Muslims), "these people are one fifth of the world's population and until we attempt to understand them, there will always be trouble."
So here's the moral to my message.
Whomever it was who did this is pissed off to a very large degree. Anyone who is prepared to do this, as well as commit suicide in the process, obviously has nothing to lose, and everything to gain.
People are calling this a senseless act, but it's anything but that. The organisation of it alone means it's not senseless. There was a clear motive and philosophy to it. It's so much more than senseless.
For the west to think this is unprovoked (let alone senseless) is not only naive, but foolish.
Storming into wherever and blowing the shit out of someone in retaliation is only going to make martyrs of them, and in turn, will only lead to further terrorist acts and retaliation in an ever upwards spiralling show of dick from both sides.
That is something to avoid at all costs. We need words, not wars, cheesy as that sounds.
Perhaps this is indeed a wake up call to a lot of people that life is neither simple, nor black and white.
If I were a religious person, I'd pray for the victims, and for the violence to cease.

Yesterday's fiasco seemed completely surreal. Watching on live television as a fucking airplane crashed into The World Trade Center, I kept hearing Spielberg somehwere in the background saying, "I'd like to thank the Academy..."
It was our worst nightmare come true. The US has raised many of us to believe that we are perfectly safe and that people don't just attack the United States. We're America, damnit! People don't just invade.
Well, now it's become apparent that people can and will attack us.
I wouldn't really know how to respond to that kind of message. The NewYork skyline is jacked over. What do you say to something like that?
That's why I'm not president. Had I been president to a country that's just been attacked, I would have probably addressed the nation by just standing at the podium, eyes wide and mouth hanging open.
This is a hard one to call. Do we simply retaliate and wipe out an entire nation? Do we just send troops over to fight it out the old fashioned way? Do we *gasp* negotiate?
What a chilling episode. It was surreal. It was like a dream or a movie. I really didn't think it had happened, although I knew all too well that it had.
I was awoken with the hit of the first plane ... God, it thought it was a nightmare. I keep trying to wake up.

No, they weren't. Any one who can fly a 767,747,757 passgenger plane .. highjacked.. know what they were doing. This is very cold and calculated

This is true. My wondermeant over this though ...is based on where they hit. If you have a problem with our government, hit the governement.. but to hit buildings (WTC) that more or less were not ALL government at all ... Just gets my goose. All those people died. As I said at one time before, you have a problem with Bush... fine deal with him. Don't bring 1,000 upon 1,000 of innocent lives into it.

For the west to think this is unprovoked (let alone senseless) is not only naive, but foolish.
I have to agree. But it has happened... and the only thing I am really worried about now in that instance, is I hope to GOD that when America points a finger ... it is at the right people, cause America points a BIG finger.
This is a true tragedy in the world. I am not someone who likes death no matter who, but my GOD. How do you end this cycle of death, violence, and mental/emotional/physical/ and in some cases spiritual torture.
We need answers, and I just fear, that each group, person, and culture, will find thier own and try to come up with one.. jointly.
My prayers go out to all those hurt by this, wether American, or not. And knowing americans, we need to protect those in our borders from the middle east, wether discendants, or new citizens .. from ourselves.
What happened to your friend AnarchyPenguin, unfortunately is gonna happen over and over, justlike how we treated Japanese Americans, in WW2.
I really think .. this is ALL about fear.
