I'm probably not much of an authority on this since I am really not into anime, but if I had to choose I guess it'd be either the original Dragon Ball since it was one of my favorites growing up as a kid, Dragon Ball Z since it's a continuation of Dragon Ball, or Initial D because it's still one of my favorites now that I am an adult.

yeah, i remember watching the original series in late 90's. but didn't his tails grew back later in the series (not sure). and only vegeta didn't managed to grow back a tail when it was cut off.

Yeah the tail had a habit of growing back. It wasn't that big of a deal though. I mean, all they had to do was destroy the moon. Easy.

If we somehow lived in a North Korea-like world where only one manga were allowed to exist, (maybe because "Our Great Leader Obama" liked it), One Piece would be the best choice because IT'S THE LONGEST, and still running. You'd get bored much slower than any other anime.
