I know hardly anyone comes on the NG Audio Portal Skype Chat anymore..... but I kinda miss live jams. I wonder if we could perhaps get together and do summat about this?
It'd be nice to hear what other people are singing or playing or cowbelling or making animal sounds with.

Oh gosh! We'd have to work out times and such (now would be too late to play; it's 10-something at night and exit polls are being counted at the mo'. I can still chat a little though).

If you guys were interested I found a cool bit of software for this kind of thing some time ago called Jammr. I've used it a little, but the community is quite small, pretty rare to see anyone else online in my timezone. It works well though and might deal with lag a bit better than Skype.

Streets ahead. If you have to ask, you're streets behind.
Doing a live jam via Skype is impractical, since it doesn't employ full duplex mode.
This means that Skype will automatically focus on only a single sound boradcaster at any given time, cutting everyone else out until that sound broadcaster has finished.
I've tried, and it doens't work.
@BrokenDeck I know Skype can be an ABSOLUTE PAIN when it comes to this -- a lot of people are interested, and I was wondering -- do you know anywhere we could go on the net to make such a thing happen?
