This forum post is where you can share your WIP's and discussions for this months Draw with Jazza Challenge of the Month, which this May 2015 is:

"Ancient Vs. Futuristic"

THEME:

Draw or paint (traditional OR digital) an illustration depicting an ancient person/people/entity in combat with a futuristic person/people/entity. The themes used may be of your own creation or may be fan depictions of existing IP (as long as credit is given to the original creators). This is a good opportunity to challenge yourself and be ambitious!

HOW TO ENTER:

Upload your finished artwork to the Newgrounds.com Art Portal

TAG your artwork with 'OLDVNEW'
(That’s it! Scouted or unscouted, I will find your entry, as long as you tag it
with the exact word above, without the quotation marks)

OPTIONAL: Share your entry on social media using the Hashtag #OLDVNEW

This is a worldwide competition - join the Arty Party, wherever you are, and whatever age you may be!

RULES:

- You may submit a maximum of 1 entry
- No pornographic material of any kind
- Your piece MUST be tagged correctly and be submitted by the deadline
- You may not submit a piece using stolen artwork or imagery

Tag your work as oldvnew to make sure Jazza sees it eventhough you posted on the first page. He clearly says to tag it (it is where you put newgrounds, army, vs, roman. Just change one of the tags!).
I'm not trying to be mean, i just want to make sure your hard work won't be wasted because it was not submitted the correct way. :)

This months challenge of the months basic idea sketch....plz suggest me anything u have in mind !

All my previous submissions for the months prior has been done on a Samsung Mobile phone, this month I finally am armed with a Cintiq :D This is what I have so far for mine.

Here is my entry. Morgana vs Iron man.

Basic outlines I have of The Enterprise vs. The Minotaur. I've been drawing for a while, but never really been a part of the Newgrounds community. Pretty exciting to jump right in now. Good luck to everyone, this is some cool stuff.

Dang, some of these submissions are amazing. This is a really kicking contest.

Thanx for ur view....Te3Time...I think that 2....I will surely make the sword better

I'm gonna get creamed but it's worth a shot. This is my 1st attempt at an online art contest. I hope my studying pays off.

I'M SCARED NOW SEEING ALL THESE PICTURES THAT MY IDEA IS TOO FAR OFF OF THE TOPIC >.> oh well i will submit a sketch maybe i dont know it just makes me nervous.... first time ive tried anything like this contest but i love watching jazza so i though why not give it a shot

Could ewoks or another primitive alien race count as ancient?

My entry will be a sorts of slide comic. I will combine the other pages as well. Is that cool. As for the topic, It is OLDVNEW just not a technical fight.

Haha cool concept. I had a thought of changing the current time pc with maybe a caveman playin tic tac toe with him/herself on s cave wall or make a steam powered steampunk machine/workspace.

But I like it so far :)

It's not that good right now. I'm playing around with the sketch digitally but I will more than likely do the actual entry piece traditionally. It will look much better that way. I haven't decided on the futuristic character yet, but I'm choosing to do a Greek warrior as the ancient character. He's wearing glasses because the Greek Warrior is in Markiplier's likeness. (In the final piece, he won't have the glasses on, probably. I just doodled them in here on the sketch)
I don't normally do battle scenes or armored characters or anything so I'm really jumping into trying a lot of new things with this piece.

Pretty excited to see how my now finished piece places amongst all this amazing talent.

My work in progress :) I scanned it, now I need to find a way to clean it.... (too much gray on the left side)

My Entry This is my first time on newgrounds and first time drawing for 3 years, pretty excited to get back into it. Seeing some great entry ideas from you all, cant wait to see all the finished projects!

Sounds like a cool challenge, Jazza. I'll try to wrap something up if I find time & motivation. :3
