How do you feel about flag burning/destroying, and the though of an amendment against it? Do you feel that it should be illegal? Or should it be legal as a right to freedom of speech?

Personally, I take the later of the two... I feel that the flag is just a piece of cloth, and not truely the spirit of America. If flag burning/destroying is made illegal, then what about all those people who where American flag boxer shorts? Will the FBI break down the underwear drawers of so-called "criminals"? What about people who wear American flag ties? Will people be dragged to prison just because they didn't have an extra tie?

Not only that, but when a flag gets too "ragged" to fly, the tradition is to burn it. Our we saying that we have a problem with American tradition? Frankly, the negatives out number the positives...

Flag burning should be legal. Its a form of free speech. Anyone who supports a ban on flag burning must get a life. Also, why did we fight all these wars in the past? To do things like flag burning and freedom of expression.

Of course! Anyone is free to do as they please as it does not physically harm another!

I think our nationalism is a bit less superfical than a peice of nylon.

I agree. Just like the propaghandi song "take the flag and stick it up your ass." There's people out there that aren't satisfied until they can act out the first amendment. More power to them if they want to act out there constitutional rights. I can't really say its wrong but I don't think its right to burn the flag of our nation or any nation. But if they want to prove a point or start a fight, that's the best way to do it.

I know it's free speech. Don't even get me started on the subject. But still, if you don't like living in America, LEAVE!!
