If you studied it then you know that a lot of the tales surrounding the Norse Gods, and their evil counterparts are seemingly great depictions of Science Fiction. Well to me anyways.
First off we have the Bifrost which is apparently supposed to melt when Ragnarok occurs. This mass horde of Muspell's people cross it with spears and such reminds me of the ancient Siberians crossing the Ice Bridge from Russia to Alaska.
Then we have Surtr himself, which is translated to Black or Swathy One or whatever. The wielder of the great Fire Sword. I think this Fire Sword can be seen as a Nuclear Bomb, and his translated names allocated to the effects of a Nuclear Explosion. Black meaning the black-outs that the EMP of a Nuclear Bomb can inflict, and Swathy One meaning that the initial explosion takes out the multitudes of people who are seemingly being reaped or mowed by the explosion.
Odin himself seems like a galactic Emperor, and his court is the council of the Universe.
Idk, but we should all look into the pagan history of the Norse People. We can learn a lot of truth from it, even if that truth is untruth. Also it is a ton more interesting than most mythology out there.
Well here is hoping that we can get a proper discussion going where the lot of you smart people outsmart me, and de-bunk everything I said with a simple "Mythology is fictitious."
