Artists seem to have a nice thing going on there at deviantart with all the comissions and stuff and people actually seem to value good art.
So I'm wondering if theres something like that for musicians? If not, do you think its possible to have one?
Because at the moment you can do collabs here and there on forums, but it doesn't seem like anyone is commissioning musicians like they do for artists down at deviantart.
That stuff happens here, except it's usually in the form of "hey can I just use that song you did already thanks" so there's really no work involved. I dunno, I think a lot of the public will easily lean more towards visual art than audio art because it's so immediately attainable; you can look at something and process it all at that moment while sounds take a commitment to listen through all of it. People like drawings and maps of their ideas rather than theme songs attempting to depict them. It's instant gratification...just my perspective on it.
